Despite being from an overrepresented demographic, I managed to get accepted into all three programs that I applied for (INSEAD, Oxford, and Berkeley). Additionally, I had major financial and time constraints because I already had 2 children (at the age of 28!) before applying to business school. I'm not a naturally good test-taker so I had to be both efficient and creative to pull this off. I was able to get into these programs because I'm strategic, resourceful, and know how to craft a story with the audience in mind. I have a lot of experience teaching/training and am excited to help you craft your story and demonstrate to admission committees that you are unique and that you have a lot of value to add to their programs.

About Jesse
I grew up in SLC, Utah where I went to a normal public school, got average test scores, and came from a middle-income family that was not well-connected. Fast forward to today, I have an MBA from the #2 ranked program by Financial Times (INSEAD) and was accepted by the two other programs I applied for (Berkeley and Oxford). My professional experience includes a myriad of roles across Walmart Inc including accounting, finance, strategy, and product management roles. There were certainly obstacles to get where I am today, not least of which was having two children by the age 28. My family has always been my top priority, so I've learned to become incredibly resourceful in order to reach my goals. If you're reading this, there's a good chance that you're a better test-taker and have more time and access to resources than I had. I got into these programs because I am strategic and understand how tell an authentic story with an audience in mind. I'm a passionate teacher and love helping others craft their stories and strategize how to reach their goals.
Why do I coach?
I'm deeply committed to coaching aspiring individuals to achieve their MBA dreams, with a particular focus on empowering underdogs. Having faced challenges and worked my way up, I understand the obstacles that can hinder talented individuals from pursuing higher education. I want to be a guiding light for those who may not have had the same advantages, providing them with mentorship, strategies, and unwavering support. I believe that diversity in the MBA landscape enriches our global perspective and innovation. By helping underdogs access these transformative opportunities, we not only change their lives but also contribute to a more inclusive and dynamic business world. My aspiration is to enable these determined individuals to overcome barriers, unlock their potential, and ultimately, become inspiring success stories in the MBA arena and beyond.
