About Jeff
I’m a Principal Technical Product Manager with over 25 years of experience in the tech industry. My career has spanned roles as a product manager, consultant, engineering manager, technical program manager, and engineer, working with some of the world’s leading organizations. For 9 years at Amazon, I focused on building AI-powered products—including generative AI solutions—across diverse teams such as advertising, Alexa, retail fraud prevention, and human resources. Outside of work, I’m an expert snowboarder with over 30 years of riding experience, both in-resort and in the backcountry, and experience as a certified snowboard instructor. When the snow melts, I trade my board for a mountain bike. Throughout the year, I play tennis competitively (NTRP 4.0 for those who know). My passion for coaching others to their full potential is a common thread across everything I do. I volunteer as a snowboard coach for a local non-profit and coach a high school tennis team, extending the same commitment to growth and mentorship that I bring to my work in product management.
Why do I coach?
At Amazon, I interviewed over 100 product manager candidates. Time and again, I watched great people get rejected because they didn’t understand how to navigate the interview process. Meanwhile, I saw others pass who struggled in the actual role. That disconnect stuck with me. Coaching is my way of helping close that gap. I want to give candidates a fair shot—not by teaching them to “game” the system, but by helping them present their real strengths clearly and effectively. I focus especially on people targeting roles at top tech companies, because I know how nuanced those interviews can be. There’s a language and a structure to it, and once you learn it, you can let your actual capabilities shine through. Ultimately, I coach because I believe the right people should have the chance to do the right work—and sometimes, they just need a little help getting in the door.
