About Jeff
Hi there! I’m Jeff, a Harvard (‘18) and Stanford GSB (‘24) graduate, and a first-generation college student from a low-income, single-parent Latino household in Dallas. Expanding access and opportunity for students/professionals from all backgrounds, especially marginalized backgrounds, is deeply personal to me. After Harvard, I worked in strategy consulting at Deloitte in New York, where I focused on smart cities, government, and mission-driven organizations. Across both college and business school, I’ve also worked in federal/local government and nonprofits across the US and Latin America, centered on inclusive economic and community development. Today, I’m an independent consultant supporting the State of Maryland’s Office of Innovation, while building Trailblazer, a postsecondary AI and grassroots platform designed to help high schools, nonprofits, and first-generation students navigate college and career pathways with greater clarity and support.
Why do I coach?
As a first-gen student/professional, much of my journey up to this point has been shaped by figuring things out on the fly. I’ve been privileged to step into spaces that aren’t always designed for individuals from my backgrounds, and I see it as a responsibility to open doors for those coming behind me, to demystify those pathways, and provide the kind of support I didn’t consistently have. For me, coaching is about empowering people be everything they set out to be. I'm excited to support you in your journey, share candid feedback, and do everything I can to get you to where you want to be!
