About Jacob
I'm currently working at EY-Parthenon, but my interest in consulting really started during my MBA. The whole experience, from the cases in class to the coffee chats, helped me figure out what I wanted to do next, guiding me in the right direction to set me up for my career today. I During that time, I really enjoyed the case prep process, involving diving into different business cases, figuring out which frameworks to use, quickly finding key insights, and coming up with solid recommendations.
Why do I coach?
I want to become a coach to provide the exact guidance, advice, and firsthand experience that helped me navigate my own MBA journey. Deciding to pursue an MBA and figuring out post-grad career opportunities is a massive step in anyone’s life, and I want to help you navigate those big decisions with clarity. My goal is to help prospective students break into their desired programs by working with them to build a rock-solid personal storyline, walk into the interview room with genuine confidence and ensuring they know what the MBA program is all about! I have extensive experience with behavioral interviews, having navigated many of them during my MBA and constantly refining my answers after receiving tons of feedback on them. My goal was always to ensure my responses felt completely natural, never 'scripted.' I would love to work with you to simplify and drive home your main points, ensuring your communication skills and confidence truly shine through in the interview room! As for consulting cases, I worked directly with a case coach and benefited immensely from that experience. They taught me invaluable tips on how to structure my thoughts, communicate effectively, and brainstorm logically. Most importantly, after working with a coach, I never panicked during a case again. Instead of freezing up when I hit a roadblock, I learned how to immediately slow down, stay calm, and think through the best next steps. My strong suit lies in supporting more niche IT and M&A-related cases, breaking down complex terminology, understanding what occurs at each part of the deal and narrowing in on what buckets to use for specific cases. I want to pass that same toolkit, and that same peace of mind on to you!
