About isha

About Me I'm a Wharton MBA candidate (Class of 2026) and former JPMorgan quant researcher with five years of experience navigating — and getting promoted fast-tracked through — one of the most competitive environments in finance. I help clients with MBA admissions, career transitions into finance and tech, interview prep, and broader career strategy, drawing on both sides of the table: I've been the candidate making the case for myself, and I've been the person on the other side evaluating talent and leading hiring decisions. MBA Admissions I scored a 760 on the GMAT (99th percentile) and got into Wharton with a traditional, technical background — IIT Delhi engineering, quant finance, India. I know how to help candidates find the story that makes their application distinct, especially those coming from technical, international, or non-standard paths who worry they don't fit the "typical" MBA mold. Career Transitions At JPMorgan, I moved from Analyst to Senior Associate in four years with a top-10%-of-350-peers rating, leading multi-year, multimillion-dollar projects and influencing directors and cross-functional teams who didn't report to me. I've since used my MBA to explore consulting, GTM strategy, and startup building. I help clients navigate transitions between technical and business roles, finance and tech, or corporate and startup paths — with a clear-eyed view of what each world actually rewards. Interview Prep I've sat on both sides of high-stakes interviews — as a candidate getting into Wharton and JPMorgan, and as a senior team member helping evaluate and hire analysts. I help clients prepare for behavioral, case, and technical interviews with a focus on specificity: turning vague accomplishments into sharp, quantified stories that hold up under follow-up questions. My Approach I'm direct, data-driven, and outcome-focused — which probably comes from years of quant work where vague answers don't survive scrutiny. I'll push you to be specific, cut the fluff, and build a narrative that's honest and compelling rather than generic. Outside of work, I'm a builder at heart (currently developing an AI startup), a skier, and someone who rebuilt her own health from scratch, losing 30kg over three years — so I understand what it takes to commit to a hard, unglamorous process and see it through.

Why do I coach?

Why I Coach I've been on the receiving end of coaching at almost every turning point in my career — and I've seen firsthand how much of a difference it makes to have someone who's actually been through it, rather than just studied it from the outside. Early on, I was a Mentorship Coordinator at IIT Delhi, helping 800+ students acclimate to a brutal, high-pressure environment I'd just survived myself. I also served as Student Head of Avanti Fellows, teaching high school students who had talent but not the resources or guidance to know what was possible for them. Watching someone go from "I don't think this is for me" to genuinely believing they belonged — that stuck with me more than any technical achievement has. I've also had to coach myself through things nobody else could. I lost 30kg over three years by rebuilding my habits from scratch, with no shortcuts and a lot of failed attempts before it worked. I broke into a career in quant finance as a woman from a non-traditional background, ranking in the 99.99th percentile out of 500,000+ candidates to get into IIT Delhi, and later fast-tracked through JPMorgan in an industry where very few people who look like me make it to the room, let alone influence what happens in it. I know what it feels like to be underestimated, to not have an obvious playbook, and to have to build one anyway. That's why I coach the way I do — direct, honest, and invested in outcomes, not just encouragement. I'm not interested in telling clients what they want to hear. I'm interested in helping them get where they're actually trying to go, the way I wish someone had helped me.
