About Ian
My family came to the United States from Argentina when I was a kid and we moved to a tiny 10,000-person town in Waterville, ME. As a first-gen, I became an expert in identifying the routes to success within the US system: whether it was conquering the SATs to get into Columbia, networking and case-studying my way into investment banking and private equity or crafting my story to get into HBS and GSB. I am passionate about helping people combine the hard skills necessary to get into top institutions (educational and professional) with the story-telling side of who they really are. At the end of the day, each of us has a special story to tell and I can help you hone that story. I am currently working on a Masters at NYU to become a therapist (LMHC) and am interested in working with clients from high-intensity careers.
Why do I coach?
My favorite part of my job has always been 1) working with people and 2) telling the story. I love math and have built a deep financial and business skillset, but what I love to do is interact with human beings. That is the biggest reason why I decided to pivot my career away from finance into therapy/counseling - so I could realize my full potential. I want to help you realize yours and show you that the road to success in business and finance is about much more than putting your head down and working hard: it is about finding and telling your story.
