Erin’s MBA Qualifications

Hi there! I'm Erin, a graduating full-time MBA candidate at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where I've honed skills in Economics and Entrepreneurship. As an Admissions Fellow at Booth, I've interviewed candidates and provided valuable insights to prospective students at admissions events, giving me a deep understanding of what top business schools are looking for. My professional journey includes strategic roles at Vanguard and an internship with McKinsey & Company, where I gained firsthand experience in management consulting and will be returning full-time after graduation. I am a proud first generation student who has successfully coached candidates in their MBA applications through the Forte Foundation network, helping them craft compelling narratives and navigate the admissions process. While at Vanguard, I spent several years in our Education Savings practice - in addition to MBA application logistics, I am well-versed in various ways to financially plan for school and am comfortable discussing program fit (i.e., full-time versus part-time). Making MBA dreams a reality is one of my favorite ways to spend my time, and I'd love to work with you!

About Erin

Hi there, I'm Erin! Before business school, I spent nearly six years at Vanguard, where I worked in strategy and product leadership roles focused on helping families save and invest for future education (i.e., 529 plans!). As a first-generation college student, I was especially passionate about expanding access to financial opportunities and helping people navigate systems that often feel intimidating or inaccessible. This spring, I graduated with my MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and joined McKinsey & Company. Along the way, I've navigated career transitions, MBA admissions, consulting recruiting, and the challenge of figuring out what comes next when there isn't always a clear roadmap. Today, I coach MBA applicants, career switchers, and aspiring consultants who navigating ambiguity in their careers. I have also worked in full-time M7 admissions, giving me a unique perspective on MBA candidacy. Whether you're applying to business school, preparing for interviews, or considering a major career pivot, my goal is to help you pull the thread of sharing your story authentically and approach the process with confidence. I believe the strongest applications and interviews aren't about saying the "right" thing - they're about understanding your unique experiences and communicating them in an interesting way. I bring a combination of strategy, structure, honest feedback, and plenty of hyping up to help clients put their best foot forward.

Why do I coach?

I coach because I have been the recipient of transformative guidance. As a first-generation student, many of the biggest decisions in my career, from navigating corporate America to applying for business school, felt like I was figuring things out as I went. While I was fortunate to have amazing mentors alongside me, I often wished I had someone who could help me understand not just what opportunities existed, but how to position myself for them. Business school, consulting recruiting, and career transitions are overwhelming because there is so much conflicting advice. My goal as a coach is to simplify that process, provide honest feedback, and help people make decisions that are right for them. The most rewarding part of coaching is watching someone gain confidence and stride in their own story. Sometimes the most beneficial coaching is learning to see and articulate the strengths that others will recognize in you. Helping someone reach a goal they once thought was out of reach is incredibly fulfilling, and it's why I love this work. My biggest goal for you: to take the bet on yourself. I hope to work with you!

I started my career at Vanguard in their rotational Emerging Leader Development Program. After concluding this program, I spent a year supporting the Chief HR Officer and her executive team with COVID-19 related return to office programming as a Chief of Staff. After that, I took a management role leading growth strategy for Vanguard's Education Savings practice. I built this function from scratch and stood up a team of project managers who executed strategic work related to the Vanguard 529 Plan. I sat on our senior leadership team and represented growth work at the intersection of strategy development and execution.
