Description
There are three starting points for this package, with one partnership and one final milestone: matriculating into college! The strongest applications are built over years of thoughtful choices about courses, activities, and the story a student is becoming. The College Roadmap is a year-long partnership designed to start whenever you're ready, from freshman year on. We will complete tangible work together at every stage, so your student arrives at senior year with a plan already in motion and a story already taking shape. Choose the entry point that matches where your student is now. Option 1 — Starting Freshman Year: Foundations Freshman year is about building the base: good habits, the right courses, and the first glimmers of what makes your student light up. We keep it low-pressure and exploratory while quietly laying groundwork that pays off for years. Option 2 — Starting Sophomore Year: Blueprint Sophomore year is where exploration becomes focus. We deepen the academic plan, sharpen the student's activities into a coherent whole, and begin shaping the distinctive angle that will one day make their application memorable. Option 3 — Starting Junior Year: Launch Junior year is the pivot point — the year strategy and preparation come together. By the time we finish, your student will have a balanced college list, a clear testing plan, and a personal statement already underway before senior fall even begins.

Coaching delivered via live sessions and .
This package blends live sessions and behind-the-scenes work so your student gets both real coaching and strong momentum between meetings. Synchronous (live): We meet over scheduled video calls — typically 45–60 minutes — booked in advance at a cadence that fits the stage we're in. Live time is where we do the thinking together: brainstorming, mapping strategy, and digging into your student's story. These sessions are conversational and warm, but focused — every one ends with clear next steps. Asynchronous (between sessions): A lot of the real progress happens between calls. I review drafts, résumés, essays, and application materials on my own time and return written, line-level feedback — usually within 2–3 business days of receiving your student's work. You'll also have message access to me for quick questions, which I answer within 1–2 business days. This means your student is never stuck waiting a full week for a session to keep moving. Deadlines and expectations: Every engagement runs on a shared timeline of milestones with agreed internal due dates — comfortably ahead of any real college deadline, never up against it. I'll hold your student accountable to those dates, and in return I commit to my own: sessions start on time, feedback comes back when promised, and nothing important gets left to the last minute. The one thing I ask is that your student submits work by our agreed check-in points, so I have time to give it the attention it deserves. During peak application season, staying on schedule is what keeps the process calm instead of chaotic.
The Coach provides college-planning and application-advising services as described in the package the Client selects, which may include academic and extracurricular planning, college-list development, testing strategy, résumé and activities development, essay and narrative coaching, interview preparation, and general application guidance. Services are delivered as a set of milestones and deliverables — the completed work is the substance of what is purchased. Any stated hour ranges are good-faith averages for planning purposes only and are not a guaranteed, metered, or refundable allotment of time. Sessions are scheduled by mutual agreement. Please give at least 24 hours' notice to reschedule; sessions cancelled with less notice, or missed without notice, may be counted as delivered. The Coach aims to respond to messages within1–2 business days and return draft feedback within 72 hours, excluding weekends, holidays, and pre-communicated unavailability. During peak season, turnaround depends on the Client respecting agreed internal deadlines. The Coach does not and cannot guarantee admission to any school, any test score, scholarship, financial-aid award, or other outcome. Admissions decisions are made solely by colleges based on many factors outside the Coach's control. The Coach's role is to guide, prepare, and support the Student in presenting their strongest authentic application. Any examples of past results are illustrative and not a promise of similar results. Good outcomes depend on the Student's active participation. The Client and Student agree to attend scheduled sessions, meet agreed internal deadlines, complete assigned work, provide accurate information, and communicate promptly. The Coach is not responsible for missed college deadlines resulting from the Student's delay, incomplete information, or failure to participate. Worksheets, guides, templates, and frameworks the Coach creates remain the Coach's intellectual property, licensed to the Client for personal use in this engagement only, and may not be resold or redistributed. The Student retains ownership of their own essays, résumés, and application content.

Erika was born and raised in Washington Heights, New York City. She currently serves as an education consultant to school districts across the United States to ensure all high school students have access to the most rigorous coursework. She attended Dartmouth College for her undergraduate studies where she studied Sociology, African American Studies, Human Development and Education. She completed a teaching residency with the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education while teaching World Geography and History at an all-boys school in Baltimore. She has independently assisted students through the college application process for the past seven years. “I believe every person has a riveting and unique story to tell. My job as a college coach is to find that story alongside students who may need an extra push to find the courage and verbiage to do so. I enjoy the early stages of ideation the most because I am consciously reminded of how promising our future is given students’ life stories. The reflection students are able to have through this process reveal bits of themselves they may have never taken note of before, and to me that is the beauty of storytelling and finding yourself.”
