This package combines live, one-on-one strategy sessions with asynchronous essay review and written feedback between meetings. We begin with a live session to review your background, goals, résumé, and early ideas, then identify the personal value and experiences that should anchor your Stanford application. From there, we work through “What Matters Most” and “Why Stanford” using a structured cycle of drafting, written feedback, revision, and live discussion. Between sessions, I review your drafts and provide specific comments on story selection, structure, reflection, clarity, Stanford fit, and overall application cohesion. Live sessions are used to pressure-test ideas, resolve difficult positioning questions, and make the key decisions that are harder to address through written comments alone. My style is collaborative, candid, and highly personalized. I will help you go deeper where the writing feels generic, challenge ideas that are not yet convincing, and ensure the final essays sound authentic rather than over-engineered. The goal is not to manufacture a Stanford story, but to uncover and communicate the strongest version of your own.
Please complete the onboarding questionnaire and upload your current résumé, application materials, and any existing essay drafts before our first session. This package covers Stanford GSB’s “What Matters Most” and “Why Stanford” essays, including strategy, story selection, structure, written feedback, revision guidance, and application-cohesion review. It does not include unlimited revisions, full support for other schools, recommendation-letter drafting, or interview preparation unless those services are added separately. Drafts are typically reviewed within three business days. Please allow additional time during peak application periods and submit materials early enough to support thoughtful revision before your deadline. Written feedback is intended to strengthen your ideas, structure, reflection, and voice. I will not write essays on your behalf or create experiences that are not your own. Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to reschedule a live session. Cancellations and refunds are subject to Leland’s policies. Coaching is designed to strengthen your application, but admission to Stanford GSB or any other program cannot be guaranteed.
