Hello! A little bit about myself--I'm a healthcare strategist with a passion for anything writing, analysis, and research oriented. I've been helping students from a wide range of backgrounds--from data science to pre-med to MBA programs and more--for almost 10 years now (ad hoc) with their admissions essays and other writing assignments. I've helped several students get into their dream schools and I want to help you achieve your goals through the power of the pen. I studied at Yale School of Public Health and the Yale School of Management for my MPH degree, and Rutgers for my undergrad, where I majored in writing intensive and analytical driven majors (political science and planning and public policy). I currently use my writing and analysis skills in my job and my previous roles, and have been working for nearly 8 years now.

About Deanna

Hi! My name is Deanna and I am a first generation tutor with a passion for helping you achieve your goals with writing, analysis, and resume help. I graduated from Yale University with a Masters of Public Health concentrating in healthcare management, and from Rutgers for my undergrad specializing in political science and planning and public policy. Over the past decade I have been tutoring students from pre-med tracks to data science masters programs to undergrad admissions essays and MBA programs. In addition to analytical writing services, I provide support with resume building--I truly connect with every client to help them tell their story from the ground up and am very thorough in getting to know you. A more detailed picture of your background allows us to craft a stellar essay and resume. I provide personalized consultations and tutoring sessions to help you nail your admissions essays and resumes. I am open to helping on an ongoing basis with writing assignments throughout the school year as well to build skills and workforce readiness. Please note: I do not write essays for my clients; instead, I work closely with my clients to push the envelope and gain a deeper understanding of their needs, personal and professional backgrounds, and explore areas they would like to delve into. Think of it like developing skill building so you can write your own essays and tailor your own resumes!

Why do I coach?

Being able to express yourself clearly, concisely, and powerfully is one of the best things I got out of my undergrad degree. The power of the pen and articulate communication are lifelong skills that will help you no matter what profession you choose to pursue. When I was younger, I was not always confident with my writing, I felt as if my ability to self-express was curtailed, my voice was not found. Gaining confidence through college, pursuing writing, critical thinking, and reading intensive majors as a way of challenging myself in areas I felt less confident in helped me hone in my skills to the degree that I perfected them. I want each of my clients to feel confident in their writing and analytical skills to the point that they can feel like tackling any unknown assignment or project that doesn't have much clarity in their future endeavors, whether it be schooling or in professional life.
