I Broke Into AI Without the Right Background. I'll Show You How

I've spent 6+ years working across every layer of the AI stack, from the ground up. I started in biomedical research and clinical settings at Columbia University Medical Center and UCSD Health, then made a deliberate pivot into AI without a traditional technical background or a roadmap. People took chances on me along the way, and those bets changed everything. Since then I've built annotation operations from scratch at medical imaging AI startups (Enlitic, Iterative Health), led LLM evaluation programs at Amazon AWS across Bedrock and four product lines, and now serve as Group Manager of Delivery Operations at Snorkel AI, a Stanford AI Lab spinout building the data infrastructure behind frontier models. I've hired for AI roles, built the teams doing the work, and operated inside the organizations setting the bar. I also build production AI systems independently, which keeps my hands on the tools and my instincts sharp in ways that a management role alone doesn't.
