About Dan
I've spent 6+ years working across the AI stack, but my path into it started in biomedical research and academic medicine at Columbia University Medical Center and UCSD Health. That background in clinical and research environments gave me an early lens on where AI could actually move the needle in healthcare, and it shaped how I approached the work that followed. From there I moved into medical imaging AI, first at Enlitic, then at Iterative Health, an MIT spinout, where my annotation strategy contributed to an FDA 510(k) clearance. I then joined Amazon AWS leading LLM evaluations across Bedrock and products including HealthScribe and Q Business, before moving to Snorkel AI, a Stanford AI Lab spinout, where I'm now Group Manager of Delivery Operations building the systems and team structures that scale Expert Data-as-a-Service for enterprise clients working on frontier models. Outside my day job, I co-run a small ceramics consumer brand where I've built the entire AI automation layer from scratch: outreach and lead qualification workflows, an agentic sales coaching assistant for our account manager, and a content and analytics pipeline, all running in production on n8n, Airtable, Cloudflare Workers, and the Claude API. I coach in the AI for Careers category because I've made that journey myself, from clinical and research settings into applied AI, and now into the infrastructure layer behind frontier model development. If you're trying to navigate a pivot into AI or accelerate from where you already are, I'm here to help.
Why do I coach?
I coach because this work sits at the intersection of two things I care about deeply. Professionally, I'm drawn to zero-to-one challenges: I've built annotation operations from scratch, stood up delivery functions at AI startups, and designed production automation systems with no playbook to follow. I bring that same builder instinct to coaching. Personally, I've always been energized by developing people, whether that's growing a team, helping someone step into a harder role, or working through a career pivot with someone who doesn't yet see the path clearly. I made a non-obvious journey from clinical research into AI without a roadmap, and along the way I had people who took a chance on me when my background didn't fit the mold. That meant everything, and I've never forgotten it. Paying that forward is a big part of why I'm here. If you're trying to break into AI, navigate a pivot, or figure out how to level up from where you already are, I want to help you become who you're trying to be.
Work Experience

Group Manager, Delivery Operations
Snorkel AI
February 2026 - Present
Interviewer
Leading a team of 6 Delivery Managers owning end-to-end delivery operations for Expert Data-as-a-Service engagements with frontier AI labs. ML Data Operations Manager
AWS
September 2024 - Present
Interviewer
At Amazon AWS I led LLM evaluation operations within the Human-in-the-Loop org, managing data and evaluation delivery across Amazon Bedrock and four product lines: Contact Lens, HealthScribe, Transcribe, and Q Business. My team operated across the full evaluation stack: human evaluation, LLM-as-a-Judge, automated red teaming, prompt optimization, synthetic data generation, and toxic content filtering. I also designed a serverless data pipeline projected to cut refresh time and costs by roughly half, and scoped an off-the-shelf dataset strategy for multimodal and agentic AI applications that secured early executive support.
