Since I first got into consulting in 2019, I discovered that one of the most fulfilling parts of my job wasn’t just solving hard problems... it was mentoring, coaching, and watching people break into the industry and grow into confident, high-performing colleagues and teammates. I've had a genuine love for coaching for as long as I can remember. I got an Education minor at Stanford and was a Teaching Assistant for several Master’s courses at Stanford. If I hadn’t gone into consulting, I probably would have been a high school math teacher. When I'm off the clock, I love playing golf, skiing, and hiking. I live in Salt Lake City and love spending time outdoors in the Mountain West with my wife. I’m also a dual Norwegian-American and speak Norwegian.

Coaches professionally
◆ 5 years of experience as a grad school admissions coach, with a focus on STEM programs and a skew towards international applicants ◆ Coached 50+ candidates to land acceptances at their dream schools, including Stanford, Harvard, and other top universities ◆ Personally accepted to Stanford's Management Science and Engineering program in 2019 and graduated at the top of the class ◆ After graduation, spent 6 years as a management consultant at McKinsey, then launched an investment fund called Par 3 Partners Five years ago, I built a grad school admissions toolkit that helped me get accepted into Stanford's MS&E program -- my dream program at my dream school. Since then, I’ve refined that toolkit by working with dozens of students -- continuously adding, pruning, and sharpening it into a highly targeted, repeatable system that works. For example, I'm thesis-first, meaning that before you write a single word, I work with you to define the one sentence an admissions officer should be able to repeat about you after a six-minute read. Today, I systematically train candidates on this program, coaching them to think and communicate the way that top programs expect: powerful, confident, and compelling. I work with candidates across the full admissions cycle, from high-leverage, last-mile prep for those nearing deadlines, to end-to-end partnerships covering program selection, interview prep, and early-stage essay development. Clients frequently describe my feedback as direct and precise, but warm and supportive. I won’t sugarcoat, and I won’t let vague thinking or unclear communication slide, but I’m deeply invested in each candidate’s success and fully bought into helping them perform at their best when it matters most. If you’re looking for someone with the experience to show you a process that actually works, I’d be excited to partner with you.
