Description
Most professionals do not need another general introduction to AI. They need help identifying where AI can genuinely improve their work, and then turning that opportunity into something they can actually test. In this private build sprint, we will transform one recurring, clearly defined workflow from your professional life into a functional AI-agent prototype. Your workflow might involve research, document analysis, meeting preparation and follow-up, competitive intelligence, reporting, content development, decision support, customer operations, or another knowledge-intensive process. The engagement consists of four stages: 1. Workflow diagnosis and opportunity selection We will map the current process, including its inputs, outputs, decision points, bottlenecks, repetitive work, and areas requiring human judgment. We will define what success should look like and determine whether an AI agent is actually the right solution. If a simpler automation would work better, I will tell you. 2. Agent architecture and tool selection We will design how the system should work: the tasks it performs, information it needs, tools it uses, steps it follows, and points where a person should review or approve its work. We will also select an appropriate no-code, low-code, or AI platform based on your technical comfort, security requirements, budget, and intended use. 3. Guided prototype development We will build and refine a functional proof of concept for the selected workflow. This includes creating the agent’s instructions, prompts, workflow logic, example inputs and outputs, and any practical integrations supported by the agreed platform. You will participate in the build so that you understand how the system works and can continue improving it after the engagement. 4. Testing, evaluation, and implementation planning We will test the prototype against realistic scenarios, identify failure modes, and determine where additional guardrails or human oversight are needed. We will conclude with a prioritized plan for piloting the agent in your actual work. Throughout the package, I will draw on more than a decade of experience in data science, applied AI, AI strategy, and technical education. My approach combines strategic judgment with hands-on implementation: we will consider not only what can be built, but whether it will create meaningful value and how its performance should be evaluated. No coding background is required. Technical clients may choose to work at a deeper architectural level. This package covers one bounded workflow and a proof-of-concept implementation. Production software development, custom model training, large-scale enterprise integration, and ongoing system maintenance are outside the package’s scope.
What you'll get from this package
AI Workflow Opportunity Map A structured map of your selected workflow, including its bottlenecks, decision points, automation opportunities, human-judgment requirements, and measurable success criteria.
Build-Ready Agent Architecture A visual and written blueprint showing the agent’s tasks, inputs, outputs, tools, workflow stages, information requirements, and human-review checkpoints.
Functional AI-Agent Prototype A working proof of concept for one bounded professional workflow, developed in an agreed no-code, low-code, or AI platform.
Customized Prompt and Instruction Pack The system instructions, reusable prompts, workflow logic, and example inputs and outputs needed to operate and continue refining your prototype.
Evaluation and Guardrail Toolkit A practical test set, performance scorecard, known failure modes, and human-oversight plan for determining whether the agent is reliable enough for its intended use.
Additional details
Coaching delivered via live sessions.
This package is delivered through four private, 60-minute working sessions over approximately three to five weeks, plus up to one hour of asynchronous review and feedback through Leland. Before our first session, you will complete a brief intake and provide a description or sanitized example of the workflow you want to improve. Sessions are collaborative and workshop-based. We will use screen sharing to map the workflow, make architectural decisions, build the prototype, and test it together. I will explain the reasoning behind each design decision so that you leave able to operate and improve the system, not merely watch a demonstration. Between sessions, you may be asked to test the prototype, collect representative examples, or complete a small implementation task. You should expect approximately one to two hours of independent work across the engagement. You will retain the workflow maps, architecture, prompts, evaluation materials, and prototype created during the package. Brief feedback on agreed-upon artifacts is included between sessions; ongoing development and unlimited messaging are not included.
These terms are intended to keep the engagement focused, secure, and productive. By purchasing this package, the client acknowledges the following: Scope This package covers one clearly defined professional workflow and one proof-of-concept AI-agent implementation. It does not include production software development, custom model training, enterprise deployment, penetration or security testing, compliance certification, complex integrations, hosting, or ongoing maintenance. We will confirm the selected workflow and intended prototype during the first session. Material changes to the use case, additional workflows, new integrations, or work beyond the stated deliverables may require a separately scoped engagement purchased through Leland. Service Time and Scheduling The package includes five hours of service: four 60-minute live working sessions and one hour of offline preparation, prototype review, and written feedback. The engagement is normally completed over three to five weeks. Sessions, expiration, cancellations, rescheduling, and refunds remain subject to the policies and expiration terms displayed by Leland. Delays in providing requested materials, access, or feedback may affect the delivery schedule and do not automatically extend the engagement. Communication and Revisions I generally respond to Leland messages within two business days, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays and previously communicated travel or unavailability. The package includes one round of written feedback on the agreed prototype or supporting materials between sessions. Additional revision cycles, extensive debugging, or continuing support after the package is complete are outside the included scope. Client Responsibilities and Data Protection The client is responsible for providing timely, accurate information and for confirming that they have the authority to use any documents, data, software, accounts, or other materials supplied during the engagement. Clients should use redacted, anonymized, or synthetic examples whenever possible. Please do not transmit passwords, API keys, payment information, government identification, protected health information, legally privileged materials, regulated personal data, or other highly sensitive information through Leland messages, session recordings, or third-party AI tools. The client remains responsible for maintaining backups of their materials and for obtaining any organizational, legal, security, or compliance approvals required before testing or using the prototype. Third-Party Platforms and Costs The prototype may depend on third-party AI, automation, data, or software platforms. The client is responsible for any required accounts, subscriptions, API charges, licenses, and compliance with those providers’ terms. Third-party features, pricing, availability, and technical limitations can change without notice. If a platform restriction prevents an intended feature, we will develop the nearest feasible proof of concept and document the remaining implementation steps. Prototype Status and Results This engagement provides coaching, design guidance, and a proof of concept. Unless expressly agreed otherwise, the resulting prototype is not production-ready software and should not be used for consequential business, employment, financial, legal, medical, security, or compliance decisions without appropriate testing and qualified human review. AI systems can produce inaccurate, incomplete, inconsistent, or unexpected results. The client is responsible for reviewing outputs and deciding whether, where, and how the prototype should be used. No specific level of accuracy, financial return, time savings, regulatory compliance, business performance, or other outcome is guaranteed. Intellectual Property The client retains ownership of the materials and data they bring to the engagement. After full payment, the client may use the client-specific workflow maps, architecture, prompts, evaluation materials, and prototype produced for them for their own internal professional or business purposes. I retain ownership of my pre-existing frameworks, templates, teaching materials, methods, evaluation approaches, code components, and generalized knowledge. These materials may not be resold, publicly distributed, published, used to train another commercial system, or represented as the client’s original methodology without written permission. Third-party software and content remain subject to their respective licenses. Professional Advice and Liability This package does not constitute legal, financial, medical, cybersecurity, privacy, or regulatory-compliance advice. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, I will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, lost-profit, or lost-data damages resulting from use of the prototype or third-party services. Any aggregate liability arising directly from this engagement will not exceed the amount paid for this package.
