About Cheryl

I thought I had it all figured out. At Pontoon Solutions, I was regularly invited into rooms with people two and three levels above my direct manager. Not to present. Not to lead. Just to think out loud. At Waterfield Technologies, I was promoted to report directly to the COO within three months. At Cielo, I was promoted to Vice President within three months of joining as a Senior Director, specifically because I asked bold questions, shared ideas without fear, and brought a way of seeing problems that the organization recognized as rare. Three different companies. Three times the same thing happened. I walked in, brought my thinking, and the leaders two levels up pulled me closer. Then Cielo restructured. The VP role I had earned was absorbed into organizational change. I found myself in a pure execution role, three jobs compressed into one, a title that no longer reflected my contribution, and feedback so vague it could not be acted upon. I was doing everything I had always done. None of it was landing. I know exactly what that feels like from the inside. The confusion of doing everything right and still feeling invisible. The self-doubt that creeps in when an environment stops reflecting back who you actually are. The exhaustion of grinding in a role that was never designed for how your mind works. That feeling at 2pm on a Sunday you cannot quite name. I was not underperforming. I was miscast. And nobody was helping me see that distinction, let alone change it. That experience, combined with 15 years of watching brilliant people stay stuck because nobody taught them the unwritten rules, is what brought me fully into coaching. I had spent years on the other side of the table, in the rooms where promotion decisions actually get made. I knew what executives were really looking for. I knew the difference between being skilled and being seen as strategic. Now I work with high-potential leaders and executives navigating AI-age demands through the Dynatic Intelligence Framework. It is built around three capacities that determine who leads effectively when AI handles everything else: the ability to think in depth, to experiment without ego, and to transfer hard-won expertise across domains. Not the skills AI replicates. The ones it cannot. I hold an MBA, a Master's in Psychological Counseling, a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, and ICF ACC certification. I previously served as VP of AI Transformation at Cielo Talent, which means this is not theoretical for me. I have been in the rooms where AI strategy either holds or falls apart. Why do I coach?

Fifteen years inside organizations taught me something that still bothers me. The most capable people in the room were rarely the ones who got promoted. Not because they lacked talent. Not because they were not working. But because nobody taught them how to be seen, and nobody was invested enough in their potential to help them figure it out. I watched it happen at every level, in every company I ever worked in. That is not a talent problem. It is a visibility problem. And it is completely solvable. What keeps me in this work is the moment a client sees themselves clearly for the first time. Not in a general, feel-good way but in a specific, visceral way. The moment the ceiling they thought was fixed turns out to be a door. The moment renewed confidence shows up not as a feeling but as a behavior change you can watch happen in real time. But the work has taken on a different urgency. AI is restructuring organizations faster than most leaders can adapt and faster than most workers were ever prepared for. Capable, experienced people are being left without a roadmap at the exact moment they need one most. Good people should not get left behind. That is why I coach.
