Cayo’s MBA Qualifications
10+ people coached for MBA
Cayo has helped clients get into these schools:
I earned my MD/MBA from Stanford and have coached applicants for several years, helping candidates gain admission to selective medical schools and business schools, including Wharton and Stanford GSB. Before focusing on MBA admissions, I worked as a medical school admissions coach, which taught me how to quickly identify what makes an applicant stand out and how to communicate it clearly. My focus is on essays and narrative development--helping clients tell their story in a way that feels authentic, structured, and compelling to admissions committees.

About Cayo
I’ve been interested in healthcare since at least seventh grade, driven by a desire to help people live fulfilling lives. While coaching isn’t healthcare in the traditional sense, I’ve found it rewarding for the same reason: helping people move toward the lives they want. After college, I attended Stanford for medical school. While there, I applied to Stanford GSB, where my view of healthcare broadened beyond clinical care. I realized that working in healthcare business was a better fit for me. My time at GSB was transformative, and I want to help others access that same experience through their MBA journeys. Outside of work, I enjoy staying active (gym, running, skiing) and exploring New York City.
Why do I coach?
I am where I am today because others took the time to mentor and support me, and coaching is my way of paying that forward. Through my own experience and by helping mentees gain admission to top undergraduate programs, medical schools, and MBA programs, I’ve developed a strong understanding of what selective programs look for in applicants. I received medical school admissions to Stanford, Harvard, Johns Hopkins, Penn, and other top schools, and applied only to Stanford GSB for my MBA. I know the admissions process can be long and demanding. I enjoy helping applicants navigate it and craft applications that are clear, authentic, and aligned with their goals.
