About Carson
Hi, I am Carson. I'm an operations, strategy, and growth leader with 13 years of experience turning ambiguous, 0-to-1 challenges into scalable, revenue-generating businesses. My startup career began at Uber in 2014, where I focused on top-of-funnel supply growth, churn prevention, and city launches across North and South America. I then joined the UberEats business and helped launch the product across the US and India, eventually overseeing a $100M P&L. I've built and scaled early-stage marketplaces in over 100 cities to date, and am keenly aware of the market nuances and playbook tactics associated with each launch. I have made my career as a generalist operator and advisor for 20+ marketplace startups, and know how to execute from pilot to scale. I've operated every layer of a marketplace at almost every stage of a startup. On a personal level, I am a father of twins, am currently getting my MBA at Kellogg, and spend my days training for my next Ironman 70.3, skiing, and fly fishing as much as possible. Why do I coach?
I know firsthand the impact a coach and mentor can have on someone's life. I have been fortunate to be mentored (and still am) by some extraordinary people who have helped me overcome both personal and professional obstacles. Giving back is one of the most fulfilling things I have done in my life; I am a mentor and coach currently. Now more than ever, it's essential to build and maintain meaningful relationships and learn from others' experiences. In my time being mentored and working as one, I benefited from guidance and talking through various challenges, while doing the same for others in a similar position.
