About Carla
Carla is a senior career management professional with 20 years of coaching, curriculum design, relationship management, and leadership experience within a variety of premier university settings. She has expertise in cultivating relationships, motivating others to accomplish their goals, inspiring teams to exceed their expectations, and influencing stakeholders. Her demonstrated capabilities include: career coaching, talent development, program design, employer engagement, strategy & development, career operations, budget management, event planning, volunteer management, social media, student affairs, admissions & recruitment, and fundraising. Her coaching journey began at Stanford University in 2006 and continued at UC Berkeley, Stanford School of Medicine, and Kellogg School of Management. At Kellogg, she has coached and served as a strategic partner to Evening & Weekend and Executive MBAs, managed an innovative career education portfolio for 1400 working professional students, and has driven strategic learning & development initiatives. She has also served as the lead coach for the San Francisco Immersion experience. Carla completed the Life Design Studio Training for University Educators at Stanford University in June 2018 where she sent four days immersing in the life design curriculum and material, including spending time in the role of a student learner and the role of a program developer for life design back at Kellogg School of Management. She holds a Masters in Counseling Psychology with an Emphasis in Career Development and has taken CTI coaching coursework. Her commitment to the profession is evidenced by volunteer executive board service as the Director of Communications and Technology for the Coaches for Advancing Professionals Alliance (CAP Alliance) formerly known as the MBA Career Services for Working Professionals Alliance (MBA CSWP).
