Package Description:

Your guidance counselor at school is out to lunch and everyone you know is sweaty over college admissions. Never fear, friend! We're going to own App Season (approximately June through mid-December)—including developing your college list, getting clear on your dreams and goals, brainstorming to elicit your best ideas, learning new approaches to crafting language, drafting and finishing all your application essays, and submitting everything ahead of the deadlines such that you can lean back and wonder why your friends can't hang out yet. You'll get specific and direct feedback on your concepts and writing, experience huge emotional and logistical support, and generally feel like a boss by the time we're done with our work together. Twenty-four weekly meetings, each with an additional half hour of editing delivered prior to the next meeting = approximately fifteen-plus schools (depending on whether we're dealing with a Stanford with nine supplemental essays or a Northeastern with nothing extra beyond a wink and a nod) = you can roll into winter break with your crown on. Why take the leap to run this crucial process with me? I've guided hundreds of students through the same terrain and care just as much about you as a person as I do helping you get your results. I do not outsource my work to anyone else nor do I use AI during this process. It's all off the dome (which I pack with the 100+ books I read every year); including all of the curriculum I have developed and used to great success with my students over the last decade. Dare I say this will also be really fun?

What you'll get from this package

A college application list, completed essays for your schools, (optional) interview practice, a renewed sense of self, and the conclusion of applying to college!

Additional details

Coaching delivered via live sessions and .

We'll choose a weekly (or twice weekly) day/time for our one hour Zoom meeting and I'll project manage the whole process by assigning you homework (this is just the college research and essays you need to write) each week which will be due by the morning of the day before our next meeting. My students often say that being coached by me feels like we're having a really great conversation and then astonishingly we've done a ton of work. And that they learn SO VERY MUCH about themselves during this process!

Refund Policy

Any changes to your meeting schedule must be made with at least 24 hours notice. There are no refunds for completed meetings or editing hours for any reason. All meetings are solely between me and the student (although parents are welcome to come say hi at the beginning of one or two meetings if they would like to) and I will not share the contents of students' work with their parents or anyone else. Likewise our conversations are confidential. While I of course cannot promise exact admissions results, all of my students have been able to reach farther in opening doors thanks to our work together. I'd love for you to be next!

Funny Feminist Film Star Is Your Magical College Admissions Counselor

Want a professional entertainer who can see right into the heart of who you are and make applying to college actually fun and personally transformational? I am a union actor (SAG-AFTRA) who works in film and television and has privately tutored, taught for the Palo Alto Unified School District, and worked as an academic success coach and an essay editor and college admissions counselor for two prominent San Francisco Bay Area educational consulting companies. I’m also an avid weightlifter (obsessed with my gym), devoted reader (100+ books/year), and debuted my writing on air at NPR and onscreen at Cannes. My students have gotten into top schools including Stanford, Princeton, Yale, U Penn, Cornell, Duke, Rice, Amherst, Middlebury, Swarthmore, MIT, Carnegie Mellon, Lehigh, Case Western, Georgetown, St. Andrews, King’s College London, Reed, Oberlin, Vassar, Vanderbilt, Emory, Wellesley, Bard, Occidental, Northwestern, Northeastern, Boston University, University of Michigan, University of Washington, University of Texas Austin, University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, UCLA, UC Berkeley, University of Southern California, New York University (Stern and Tisch), the University of Chicago, and many, many more. They have majored in the humanities (sociology, psychology, political science, history), the sciences (biology, engineering, computer science), and the arts (drama, dance, music, visual art). The best wins are those applicants who don’t fit the steep statistics for the school but through our work together are able to cultivate curricular and extracurricular wins and write fantastic essays that garner the most desired acceptance letters.
