Postdoctoral Research Scientist

Columbia University in the City of New York

September 2023 - Present

My postdoctoral work focuses on powering energy-intensive decarbonization technologies, such as green hydrogen and carbon capture, with excess energy on the New York State grid that would otherwise be wasted. I model optimal renewable energy and battery capacity to cost-effectively meet state goals while reducing emissions.

Research Manager

The Solutions Project

September 2017 - June 2023

Led a team of 70+ researchers creating roadmaps to achieve 100% wind-water-solar energy for cities, states, and countries around the world by 2050. Managed research and outreach efforts. Published articles to inform policymakers transitioning 16 U.S. states to renewable energy, including the scientific groundwork for SB 100 in California, the Climate Act in New York, and the Green New Deal.

Education
