About Alvaro
- Started my journey studying Architecture — with zero background in business or management. - Built my own narrative and mastered consulting interviews from scratch, ultimately earning an offer from McKinsey & Company. - Never the smartest in the room — especially not a numbers genius — but always the most prepared and intentional in every step. - My career success has always come from discipline, structure, and storytelling, not innate talent. - Began coaching friends and classmates during my MBA, helping many land offers at top consulting firms. - Later became a lead interviewer in McKinsey’s Madrid office, deeply involved in the recruiting and assessment process. - Today, while launching my startup, I coach aspiring consultants pro bono, driven by the same motivation that once changed my own life.
Why do I coach?
- Because I’ve been in their shoes — uncertain, unpolished, and trying to break into consulting from a non-traditional background. - I know first-hand how structured preparation and the right guidance can transform a candidate’s chances. - Coaching others allows me to pay it forward — just like mentors once did for me. - Nothing is more rewarding than seeing someone achieve what once felt impossible. - I believe great coaching can change careers — and lives.
