Alexa’s MBA Qualifications

Alexa has helped clients get into these schools:

As an MBA candidate at The Wharton School and a MA candidate at The Lauder Institute, I bring a unique blend of business acumen and international perspective to my coaching. I targeted joint degree programs in International Relations/Public Policy and was also admitted to Columbia MBA/SIPA, Yale MBA/SIPA, Harvard Kennedy School, and LSE. My professional journey includes international and impact-focused roles such as an MBA Strategy Intern at Brazilian climate-tech Courageous Land, an Investment Associate with Wharton Impact Investing Partners, and a Summer Associate at Arborview Capital, all of which have honed my strategic and analytical skills. With experience in emerging markets sales and trading at Jefferies, I have a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and what it takes to succeed. I am passionate about helping aspiring MBA students navigate the admissions process and achieve their educational goals. Let's connect and craft a winning application strategy together!

About Alexa

Hello! I'm excited to learn more about you and help you achieve your goals. I'm originally from Tucson, Arizona, and earned my bachelor's degree in International Economics and Spanish from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service. During college, I explored my passion for international development through internships at the Colombian Embassy, the U.S. Treasury Department, the U.S. House of Representatives, the U.S. African Development Foundation, and a nonprofit focused on education and nutrition in Central America. Before graduate school, I worked at Jefferies on the Emerging Markets Fixed Income Sales and Trading team, where I covered Latin American corporate debt as a research analyst. Today, I am completing my MBA at the Wharton School and my MA in International Studies through the Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania. Throughout my career, I have been passionate about the intersection of finance, international development, and impact. That passion led me to pursue joint degree programs that would position me to transition into impact investing. During graduate school, I have been an Impact Capital Managers Mosaic Fellow at Arborview Capital, an active member of Wharton Impact Investing Partners, and have worked with a Brazilian climate and agtech startup focused on scaling regenerative agriculture.

Why do I coach?

Mentors and coaches have had a profound impact on my life, and I coach because I want to pay that forward. Throughout my journey, people believed in me before I believed in myself. Their encouragement gave me the confidence to pursue goals that once felt out of reach. I still remember when my high school math teacher recognized my quantitative abilities and encouraged me to pursue my passion for economics. At the time, I doubted whether I was capable, but his confidence changed the trajectory of my life. Since then, mentoring has become one of the most rewarding parts of my own journey. I have served as a Cawley Career Center Fellow, helping Georgetown students pursue careers in finance and government, as Professional Chair of my undergraduate School of Foreign Service organization, mentoring interns at Jefferies, and as a Georgetown and Lauder alumni interviewer. Across each of these roles, I have found the greatest satisfaction in helping others recognize their potential and achieve goals they once thought were beyond their reach. There is nothing more rewarding to me than seeing someone accomplish a dream they once thought was impossible. I would be honored to help you do the same.
