No limit is placed on the number of meetings students wish to have during the service period (from July 1 before senior year of high school through to college enrollment) • Students are provided with meeting summary notes that include action items and assignments. • College major advising, including 1 customized “Ask me Anything” session with a STEM professional in a career of the student’s interest. • Data gathering, research, and advice for curating a strategic list of target colleges. • Expert assistance with application preparation for up to 10 colleges. o Comprehensive essay writing program for the Common App Personal Statement and the University of California Personal Insight Questions. o Writing and editing support for all supplemental essays required by the targeted academic programs. ▪ Essay assistance includes prompt and topic selection, structured brainstorming process, essay outlines, revisions, and polishing. o Crafting compelling Extracurricular Activities and Honors & Awards lists. • Rehearsal and sample questions to prepare for admissions interviews. • Support with fielding offers of admission and financial aid, including help drafting up to 4 letters of continued interest or appeal.

Certified College Admissions Counselor | STEM specialist | Caltech PhD
I became an Independent Educational Counselor when I noticed a dearth of college admissions counselors with their own STEM backgrounds and experience. I believe aspiring STEM majors deserve not just a counselor, but a mentor who’s been there and really understands them. I’ve combined my STEM education and career experience with deep knowledge of how to gain admission and succeed in today’s STEM higher education system to provide tailored services that meet the specific needs of STEM students. My Admissions Counseling services help families through the stressful process of applying to STEM college programs. I understand your aspiring STEM major far better than an ordinary counselor could. I serve as a role model and mentor for my students through this formative period, all for the same or less than generic counselors. I also leverage my massive network of STEM professionals, including college professors and industrial scientists and engineers, to make introductions for my students and obtain important perspectives and info about STEM majors, college programs, and careers.
