Corporate Finance Associate

• Develop financial models and company valuations for consulting, financial reporting, and tax reporting engagements including employee stock option issuance, employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs), fairness opinions, goodwill and long-lived asset impairment, ROI calculations, and buy-side/sell-side consulting. • Act as a domestic liaison with the Grant Thornton India-based team. o Lead delegation of information and data analysis sub-projects to the international team and lead specific industry training necessary to complete the projects. o Successfully manage international coworkers through understanding cultural differences and utilizing effective communication techniques. • Lead local teams of 2-4 Associates by effectively communicating expectations, providing industry and company-specific insight, assigning work, and reviewing completed work product for thoroughness and accuracy. • Responsible for maintaining the client relationship through leading interviews and walkthroughs with CEOs and CFOs of client companies to understand their strategic goals, identify operational deficiencies, and optimize client’s processes to achieve identified goals. o Responsible for ensuring engagements are completed on time and on budget. • This unique dual role across two departments allows me to broaden my industry experience and increases my client and internal management interaction.

Quantitative Advisory Services

• Collaborated with internal engagement teams to create work papers, complete controls testing, produce risk assessments, and develop remediation recommendations provided to client senior management teams. • Performed risk mitigation, compliance audits, and merger and acquisition analysis for over 30 publicly traded companies and multinational investment banks. • Appointed PowerBI leader for Los Angeles office to improve the client engagement billing process by increasing transparency and providing billing information in an easier to understand format. • Executed SOX Compliance (IT and Business Processes), IT Audit Support, Loan Reviews, Anti-Money Laundering, FDIC/NCUA Compliance audits, SOC 1, SOC 2, Freddie Mac Reg AB, and Targeted Affordable Housing Express (TAHX) Reports. • Completed a 5-month rotation in the Corporate Finance Valuations group assisting in the preparation of financial models, client development, and merger and acquisition analysis.

Intern

• Created investment strategy portfolio proposals for potential clients and completed Trade Sheets, Trade Reconciliation Summaries, and Capital Gains Distribution Spreadsheets for mutual funds and ETFs.
