Tuck, Sloan and Fuqua R1: The Final Read From a Former Booth Admissions Fellow

Tuck, Sloan, Fuqua, Anderson and Darden R1 deadlines all land in the next three weeks. This session is the final read before you hit submit. As a Booth Admissions Fellow in 2020-2021, I read applicants' essays and resumes before interviewing them and wrote the evaluation that went to the admissions team. I'm a CPA with a KPMG audit background, and I interviewed at and was admitted to Booth, Columbia, Cornell Johnson and NYU Stern. In 30 minutes I'll walk through what I checked on every file before an interview: whether the resume and essays tell the same story, whether your goals read as a believable next step from your current job, and the lines that make a strong applicant sound generic.
