Cassia’s Entrepreneurship Qualifications
Experience level: Director
As the former founder of a early-stage startup incubator and lead generation company, I'm deeply familiar with the aspects of building a new startup. I've found that I most enjoy the process of ideating, identifying a target audience, and building something new and coaching those who are going through those phases. I've developed my own templates based on my founder experiences and continue to use them and their core principles in my work. I've mentored with startup founders at many different stages of their entrepreneurship from not having an idea to having an idea but lacking the technical skills to build it to having an idea and the skills, but not a structured target audience to needing insights on target audience outreach and other common early-stage pitfalls. Wherever you land, I've been there and not only progressed past it, but also help my mentees do the same. Let's get you started on your startup!

About Cassia
Cassia is a former Software Engineer who transitioned into Product Management while in the workforce. She has worked on both web and mobile applications, with both internal and external customers, across industries such as Healthcare, eCommerce, HR Tech, and founded an industry-agnostic virtual startup incubator. Cassia has spent 6 years reviewing resumes and providing custom career coaching to aspiring SWEs, PMs, and career transitioners interested in tech roles from a variety of backgrounds including secretaries, SWEs, UX Designers, college students in various majors, Project Managers, Registered Nurses, and Strategy Analysts. She currently works as an Enterprise Growth Product Manager in the Healthcare industry where she serves Large and SMBs customers.
Why do I coach?
I was the first in my family to learn about and major in Computer Engineering and I am my family's first Product Manager (and some of my family members still don't really get it!). These were opportunities that I was able to discover and pursue as a result of wanting a more fulfilling career. I became a coach because my path to where I am now, while it taught me a lot, could have been easier if I had had a mentor or coach. My very first PM mock interview, an incredibly kind PM took the time to show me how to perform a PM interview because I didn't realize how different it was from a SWE interview. Six different PMs at various tech companies spent 30 minutes with me, describing their roles, why they enjoyed it, and one of them get the instrumental advice that I try to switch into Product at my current company. I've spent hundreds of hours reviewing resumes, talking to teach recruiters to learn about their perspective, and providing coaching to aspiring SWEs and now primarily PMs. It excites me to help people find their pathways, understand and identify their potential, and discover a new sense of direction in their career.
