After graduating with my Master's in accounting from the University of Washington, I started my career at Google as an Accounting Analyst before being promoted into Finance Program Management. Along the way, I've spent nearly five years as a career coach, helping 1,400+ clients land their dream accounting and finance job. What makes career coaching meaningful is the story behind the numbers. Siyu had 60 days left on her H-1B after a layoff and signed with Amazon in six weeks. Rochelle left Big 4 for T-Mobile and $34K more base. Joey came to me burned out and went to Google at $350K total comp. Nicholas landed his first internship in a brutal job market. Every one of my published case studies signed inside five to eight weeks. I've had the honor of speaking at 120+ career events to a combined 10,000+ audience at institutions such as Northwestern, Georgia Tech, and Georgia State University. I also serve as the Career Development & Mentorship lead at the Google Atlanta office where I plan and execute programming for Google Finance professionals. I am a Real Estate Private Equity and Asset Management professional with a comprehensive 360º view of the property lifecycle. Early in my career, a senior leader gave me a book about making the transition from engineer to manager. I studied and applied it, and within 18 months I was leading the team—beginning a 30-year career building products, businesses, and organizations. Since then, I have coached and mentored professionals at every stage of leadership. Today, I help high-performing individual contributors make that same critical transition: letting go of being the person who does everything, learning to lead through others, and developing the judgment, confidence, and communication skills required to become an effective manager.
