I have built my career in education (both K-12 and higher ed) and non-profits in the US and Taiwan, with extensive background in non-profit fundraising and external relations, alumni relations, STEM education, and college and graduate school admissions. I earned my bachelor’s degree in sociology with honors from the University of Chicago and my master’s degree in public policy from Duke University. I have also received training in Cognitive Coaching and Adaptive Schools from the Thinking Collaborative. I am a Certified Career Services Provider (CCSP) with training in Facilitating Career Development from the National Career Development Association (NCDA).

Alongside my role at Google as a Finance PM, I’ve spent nearly five years coaching more than 1,400 professionals across industries and seniority levels, helping turn career transitions into six-figure opportunities. From university students and career switchers to directors and VPs, I use structured, outcome-driven frameworks to sharpen positioning, strengthen storytelling, and improve results across resumes, interviews, networking, and offer negotiations. I began in investment banking at Citi (Healthcare) and Morgan Stanley (TMT) and then worked in private equity at BDT Capital Partners, advising on multibillion-dollar transactions and serving as a campus recruiting captain and interviewer. I have worked for over 30 years with hundreds of students and clients seeking to start their career, or to change fields. I work in particular with lawyers seeking to switch fields and careers, and with pre-law students looking to enter the field of law, as well as with law students, and college students in general. I have published two books and many articles on the topic of career change, and finding a job/career. I was an Assistant Dean of a very large multi-campus Pre-law Advising program at a major university for many years. I was also a Director in the Career Services Office of a major law school for several years and have also had my own private career coaching practice. I am also experienced in administering and interpreting several career inventories.
