I’m a Harvard College graduate, Harvard MBA, venture capital investor, and Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree. I’ve spent my career in highly selective environments, both earning admission to them and evaluating talent within them. I understand what top universities look for beyond grades and test scores. As someone who successfully navigated elite admissions and later assessed high-potential founders and leaders as an investor, I know how decision-makers evaluate potential, leadership, intellectual curiosity, and long-term trajectory. I help ambitious students translate their achievements into compelling, cohesive narratives that stand out in competitive applicant pools. My approach combines strategic positioning, authentic storytelling, and a deep understanding of how top institutions think. On paper, I am a Princeton college graduate, and a Stanford MBA graduate - as well as the less conventional qualification of being an admitted Ph.D. student in Anthropology at UC Irvine. More importantly to me, I grew up in a working class community, and applied to these programs with few paths tread ahead of me to set an example. For that reason, I'm passionate about working with students who are developing their voice and narrative in the application process - because with such competitive programs out there, anyone can often feel like an underdog. To date, most of my coaching has been with low-income students who have lacked extensive resources, so I am most supportive in framing narratives in ways that hint at the unique, if sometimes scrappy, qualifications of a student. I like to focus on the whole picture that an applicant brings to the table, from individual traits, to passions, to family background - alongside all the standard materials an application holds. With a robust background in recruiting and leading recruiting teams at prestigious global strategy consultancies like Bain & McKinsey & Company for ~15 years combined with a deep understanding of the US and UK university admissions process, I am well-equipped to guide you through your college application strategy and journey to determine where, why, how, and when to apply.
