I’m qualified to coach undergrad applicants because I’ve succeeded in highly selective admissions myself and have also helped many others do the same. I was admitted to 17 Top-20 undergraduate institutions and went on to attend the University of Pennsylvania as a dual-degree student across the College of Arts and Sciences and Wharton. My own admissions journey gave me firsthand insight into what top schools look for and how to build an application that is not only impressive, but also cohesive, authentic, and memorable. Beyond my personal experience, I founded Liyue Consulting, where I’ve helped 100+ students gain admission to their dream colleges. Through that work, I’ve developed deep experience in activity planning, essay review, school selection, and interview preparation. I'm currently a Stanford MBA (where I'm the Student Body Co-President), and have 5+years of college admissions coaching experience. Before GSB, I spent time as a teacher (focusing on essay writing and story telling) and as a management consultant. Over the years working in admissions consulting, I have helped students based in the US, Hong Kong, China, and Singapore successfully apply to school. I've spent over a decade on every side of the admissions table — as a Harvard PhD who taught over 30 courses to more than 1,000 undergraduates, reviewed admissions applications, and served as a Senior Advisor on the Tutorial and Advising Board. I've worked alongside Nobel-winning faculty and nationally recognized writers, and I know exactly what the candidacy profile of a student who gets in looks like. More than 300 of my students have been admitted to Stanford, Princeton, Brown, Vanderbilt, Cornell, NYU, UC Berkeley, UChicago, and many more. My approach is personal and narrative-driven. While I was in college, I worked for two years as a Student Outreach Mentor for GEAR UP, a federally-funded program designed to help students prepare for college. In this role, I mentored students 1:1 to help them complete the FAFSA, prepare for the ACT/SAT, and apply for college and scholarships. Personally, I've received over $150,000 worth of scholarships for undergraduate and grad school, and I can help with identifying opportunities, crafting your story, writing essays, and highlighting other accomplishments.
