Testimonials Paula: "I hired Alex to help my son Tyler with composing a common app essay but after I saw how much he was helping Tyler, scheduled sessions to help Tyler write all his essays. We came to him a month before the common app deadline, and he helped Tyler brainstorm and write a common app that was so compelling that college admissions staff from two of the schools he applied to gave us a phone call after he got in to specifically mention it was one of the most moving admissions essays that they had seen. Tyler got into almost all the schools he applied to, almost every school with a scholarship, and now is attending one that gave him a full scholarship. I cannot—I repeat CANNOT—thank Alex enough. He is one of the smartest, quickest editors and tutors I have ever had the pleasure of coming across." Ahrav: "I've always gravitated towards and excelled in STEM subjects, so writing a common app that would make me stand out against the sea of other STEM applicants was to me the most daunting thing. Alex made the process so much easier. He gave me tangible techniques for brainstorming and ultimately worked with me to synthesize my interests in music and mathematics, weaving them into a cohesive, unique narrative that I was proud of. He was never overbearing or under-involved; rather, he guided me through the process in a way that both strengthened my writing skills and helped me overcome the hurdle of putting pen to paper. Ultimately, I got into my dream school of Dartmouth. I can't recommend Alex enough!" Daniel: "Alex was such a great help. I had issues with essay structure and thought organization, and he helped me sort out my argument in the clearest way possible. I never realized how easy and thoughtless essay planning can be when done right. Plus, I got into one of my top choices, UC Berkeley. I highly, highly suggest his help if you're struggling with getting your thoughts out."

Ashleigh Redding is a former Ivy League admissions officer with 13+ years of experience in higher education. Ashleigh completed her BA in Latin American Studies at Wesleyan University. She also holds an MBA through the University of Connecticut. Ashleigh spent 13 years working in undergraduate admissions at two highly selective institutions: Yale University and Wesleyan University. During her eight years at Yale, Ashleigh covered admissions territories across the U.S. and around the world, voted in hundreds of admissions committees, and oversaw all domestic recruitment. Throughout her time in admissions, Ashleigh covered both domestic and international admissions territories. Her domestic territories included: California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, and Texas. Ashleigh's international territories included: the United World Colleges and South Asia.

Do you want a mentor who's been around the block, will go the extra mile for you, and yet is somehow still so chill? I've lived in Japan for 8 years, been one of MIT's undergraduate interviewers (an "Educational Counselor") for 10, transferred to an Ivy League for undergrad (and was admitted to a lot of other top schools before that), and got into all my grad schools of choice, including my dream one, MIT. I turned down multiple top PhD programs to go do my 2-year Master's there. I've gotten people into Harvard undergrad and into the UCLA MBA. I've interviewed dozens of students for MIT, both international and domestic, from across the US and across Asia. Not only do I know what you need to be doing with your time (the most important thing) leading up to your application, as well as how to write your essays and how to get those letters of rec, but I know how to prep you for the hardest part: the interview. I even taught in MIT's Oral Communication for Electrical Engineers and Computer Scientists class during my time there, where I coached dozens of undergrads multiple times each week in giving presentations, pitches, and down-to-earth technical speaking. To top it all off, at my first job in Japan as a researcher, I also frequently coached my non-native-English-speaking coworkers on giving conference talks, and revised their research submissions (another competitive process). Whether you're domestic or international, an English or Japanese speaker, doing test prep, college admissions, want to transfer, or are applying to grad school, if you want someone who knows what's up, I got you.

I've been admitted to multiple ivy league and other top institutions for both undergrad and MBA. As a Cornell University graduate and current MBA student at The Wharton School, I have firsthand experience with the admissions processes at top-tier institutions. My involvement in student life and leadership roles at both Cornell and Wharton has equipped me with a deep understanding of what these prestigious schools seek in applicants. Additionally, my professional experience as a Senior Business Analyst at McKinsey & Company, where I was part of the Cornell recruiting team, has honed my skills in identifying and nurturing talent. I have successfully coached numerous students, helping them craft compelling narratives and secure spots in competitive programs. Let's work together to make your college application stand out!
