About Aure
My journey into coaching started naturally. After spending over a decade in the accounting and consulting world, including time at KPMG and later in a leadership role at CNM LLP, I found that what I enjoyed most was mentoring people. Whether it was new hires trying to find their footing in public accounting or experienced professionals aiming for their next promotion, I was the person colleagues turned to for advice on interviews, career moves, and how to navigate the unwritten rules of the workplace. When I started my own career, I was lost. I made mistakes I wish someone had warned me about. Looking back, there were also things I could have done that may have helped me get promoted sooner. But those lessons, although tough at the time, became the foundation of how I now coach others. They taught me not just what to do, but why it matters. Over time, I realized I had a strength for translating real experiences into clear, practical guidance. I also began using my network and relationships to gain deeper insight into hiring trends, expectations behind the scenes, and what truly moves the needle in a job search or promotion conversation. That allowed me to offer more than just surface-level advice. I could give people the tools and context they needed to stand out and succeed. Coaching became a natural extension of everything I had done. Leading teams, making hiring decisions, building strong professional relationships, and growing through trial and error. Today, I use those real-life lessons to help others avoid common setbacks, break into Big Four, transition into industry, and grow with confidence and clarity.
Why do I coach?
Coaching matters to me because I know what it feels like to try to figure things out alone. Early in my career, I didn’t have a clear roadmap. I made mistakes that slowed my progress and missed opportunities that could have gotten me promoted sooner. I didn’t fully understand how to navigate corporate environments, how to advocate for myself, or how to stand out in interviews beyond just having strong technical skills. What changed for me was the guidance I received from mentors along the way, people who didn’t just teach me technical knowledge but helped me see the bigger picture. They gave me the perspective and confidence I needed to make better decisions, and that had a huge impact on my growth. Now, I coach others because I want to be that person I wish I had earlier in my journey. Someone who understands the path, the pressure, and the politics, and who can offer practical, real-life advice that actually moves careers forward. It’s incredibly fulfilling to help others avoid the mistakes I made and reach their goals with more clarity and confidence.
