I graduated from Duke University and have spent my post-undergrad career as an Associate at BDT & MSD Partners, working across private equity investing and M&A advisory. Earlier in my career, I worked at Vista Equity Partners in their Private Equity group and received a full-time offer. Over the years, I’ve successfully participated in recruiting processes with offers across investment banking, private equity, growth equity, and a range of other buy-side roles. At BDT & MSD Partners, I’ve also seen recruiting from the other side: screening, interviewing, and evaluating candidates. For the past six years, I’ve consistently coached and advised friends, colleagues, and candidates across financial services, helping them refine their story, define a path, network effectively, prepare for interviews, navigate recruiting timelines, and leverage networks effectively. My approach is direct, practical, and honest about trade-offs, with a sharp focus on process execution and constant progress. I'm an expert in the professional version of hopscotch: I've jumped across industries, sectors, functions, pay grades, cities, countries, and more. There's of course a thread that ties my career arc together - I'd love to tell you about it. But overall, I've followed what's tugged at my heartstrings in the moment, believing that I can continue to weave that thread toward more and more fulfilling and impactful work over time. Lots of lessons learned thus far, but I'd say it's going alright. All of these career pitstops mean I know a good bit about a lot of very different working environments (including consulting, big tech, education, workforce development, childcare, national service, place-based partnerships, philanthropy, and government). And perhaps more importantly, I'm very well-versed in the networking and job search strategies needed to make your next pivot in any direction on the career ladder. I don't take myself too seriously - just trying to bring energy and joy to my career (and life overall) day in and day out. That meant not just executing, but developing the leaders around me, navigating organizational complexity, and making strategic bets under pressure. I completed my executive coaching training at Columbia University and have coached 60+ professionals across career transitions, leadership development, and strategic career planning.
