Description
Columbia Business School asks for three essays plus two short answers. One essay covers your career goals, one asks how you would make a team more collaborative, inclusive or community-minded, and one asks how you would shape your own MBA experience at Columbia. If you're applying to Columbia, I'll work with you on all of them so each answer does a different job and your application reads like one person. As your MBA admissions consultant, I'll help you build a goals narrative that holds up, choose a team story that is specific and show a clear plan for using Columbia. Common coaching activities in this package include, but are not limited to: • Writing the short answers on your immediate goal and your summer plans • Building your career goals narrative for the longest essay, covering your near-term role, your long-term goal, why an MBA and why Columbia • Choosing a specific team story for the collaboration and inclusion essay and outlining it • Mapping Columbia classes, clubs, people and New York resources to your plan for the third essay • Line-editing every draft for voice, length and specific detail • Cutting resume repetition and generic claims • Reading the three essays together so the stories don't overlap • Deciding whether you need the optional essay, and drafting it if you do How we'll work together: 1. Live strategy session: we pin down your goals and choose the stories for each essay. 2. You draft your short answers and your goals essay. I return line-level comments and we revise. 3. You draft the other two essays and I edit them. 4. Live working session on whichever essay needs the most work. 5. Final read of everything together, then a last polish. Send me your resume and a first version of your career goals and we'll start there.

HBS ‘28 | I’ll help you tell your story the way admissions wants to hear it
Welcome to my profile! I’m a current MBA student at Harvard Business School (Class of 2028), and my path here was anything but linear. I studied engineering at a public university in Spain, moved into venture capital, and then spent 4 years at Bain & Company in Spain and the US. Along the way I had to figure out how to explain those jumps across countries and languages, so I know firsthand how tricky it can be to turn a non-traditional profile into a story that clicks with admissions committees. I’ve coached several applicants on their essays and application strategy, and all of them landed offers at M7 US MBA programs, including HBS and Wharton. I love working with anyone with a great story to tell - I can especially relate to international applicants, engineers and career switchers, but I’m happy to help anyone motivated to land a spot at their dream school. I’ll be honest and direct with my feedback, and I’ll always be in your corner. Feel free to book a free intro call, I’d love to hear about your goals!
