Columbia interviews are typically about 45 minutes and behavior-focused, and interviewers often have only your resume in front of them. That puts you in charge of the story, which helps if you've prepared and hurts if you haven't. As your MBA admissions consultant, I'll help you build a clear narrative, a bank of polished stories and a specific answer to "Why Columbia?", then practice them in one full mock interview until they sound natural. All of it fits in three focused hours. Common coaching activities in this package include, but are not limited to: • Finding two or three themes in your resume and connecting them to your goals and to Columbia • Building your "Tell me about yourself" answer so it opens the interview well • Preparing your "Why Columbia?" answer with three parts: program fit, community or culture fit, and a personal connection • Developing three to five polished stories you can adapt to questions on leadership, failure, conflict, tough decisions and what makes you different • Preparing your short-term goals, long-term goals and a believable Plan B • Practicing how to read your interviewer and adjust: concise when they move on quickly, deeper when they ask follow-ups • Running a full mock interview in a conversational, behavioral format and recording it • Reviewing the recording with you, then re-drilling the answers that need the most work • Preparing questions for your interviewer, tailored to whether they're an alum, a student or an admissions officer How we'll work together: 1. Session 1 (60 minutes): we shape your narrative and choose your stories. You draft your first answers within [48 hours]. 2. Session 2 (60 minutes): a full recorded mock interview, followed by a short debrief. 3. Session 3 (60 minutes): we review the recording, re-drill your weakest answers and finalize your list of questions for the interviewer. 4. After each session: I send a short written summary of what to keep and what to fix. I take a limited number of Columbia interview clients each round.
