I have been an active angel investor since 2021 and have a strong network within VC in the US and Europe. I interned with Alpine Investors and started a company that was part of Y Combinator. I have helped several candidates land a role at their dream VC fund. I spend time carefully tailoring a package for your journey, from resume and LinkedIn review, to building a networking strategy and creating a role for yourself!

I help people break into venture capital by combining real fund experience, deep exposure to early-stage investing, and hands-on operational context from building companies myself. I’ve worked inside VC funds, evaluated startups across multiple sectors, supported diligence processes, and built relationships throughout the ecosystem. On the operator side, I’ve founded and scaled my own startup, advised dozens of early-stage teams, and worked closely with founders on fundraising, financial analysis, storytelling, and go-to-market strategy. Because I’ve lived both sides of the table, I’m able to teach not just how to get into VC, but how to think like an investor—how to evaluate companies, form an investment thesis, communicate your judgment, and stand out in interviews. As an angel investor in Latin America, I bring a unique blend of experiences that position me to support early-stage startups. Having transitioned from a career in professional sports to tech, I understand the challenges of navigating change and seizing new opportunities. My background in building businesses and content strategies across Latin America gives me a deep understanding of the region's unique market dynamics. I coach people breaking into venture capital, growth equity and investment banking, and candidates going for Chief of Staff roles. My background: Evercore M&A in London, fintech investing at IFC (World Bank) and Apis Partners, Chief of Staff at Carry1st, an a16z-backed startup, and now founder and CEO of Jireh Health, a venture-backed AI native health insurer. At Evercore I worked on $10bn+ of transactions, including the $5bn public sale of NEX Group to CME. At IFC, I made VC investments into payments, insurtech and capital-markets deals across emerging markets and served as a board observer; at Apis, a $1bn Africa- and Asia-focused fund, I originated and executed growth equity deals. I've angel invested since 2020 and am an LP in a Africa-focused seed stage fintech fund. In 2022 I crossed to the operating side as Chief of Staff to the CEO of Carry1st, an a16z-backed mobile games publisher, through its growth from 60 to 150 people. I ran strategic finance and corporate development, raised venture debt, and led market expansion — and learned what the numbers I used to underwrite look like from the inside. In 2024 I founded Jireh Health, building AI-native health insurance for Africa. Priya joined Smash Capital in April 2022 as a Venture Investor in the Los Angeles investment office. Most recently, Priya worked at March Capital, a growth-stage venture capital fund in Santa Monica focused on B2B SaaS investments. Prior to joining March Capital, Priya received her MBA from Columbia Business School. During her time at Columbia, Priya worked at a seed stage venture capital fund focused on investing in female founded startups, an early-stage venture capital fund that invests in entrepreneurial consumer brands, and an early-stage venture capital fund focused on investing in enterprise businesses. Before business school, Priya worked at Deloitte Consulting where she specialized in transforming business processes at Fortune 500 organizations. At Deloitte, Priya developed global technology solutions for Financial Services clients but served clients in a variety of industries including TMT (Technology, Media, and Telecommunications), Consumer and Packaged Goods, and Professional Services. Outside of client service, Priya worked on a variety of entrepreneurial initiatives including consulting for grassroots organizations in Central America. Priya received her B.B.A from the University of Texas at Austin.

I’m one of the youngest impact investors working in the industry today—and I broke into the industry without an MBA or a finance background.
