I coach because I remember what it felt like to be on the other side of the application: staring down AADSAS, TMDSAS, and secondary essays, trying to figure out how to make years of experience fit into a few thousand characters, without anyone to tell me whether I was even on the right track. Now, as a periodontics resident treating patients every day, I see the other side too: what dental schools are actually training people to become, and what kind of judgment, communication, and clinical thinking they're looking for in an applicant long before that person ever picks up a handpiece. That dual vantage point, having sat in the applicant's chair and now sitting on the clinical side of dental education, is what shapes how I coach. I'm not just polishing sentences; I'm helping you show admissions committees the version of yourself that's actually going to become a good clinician. I also do this because getting into dental school shouldn't come down to who has the best-resourced network. A lot of strong applicants get lost in the process simply because no one ever showed them how the process works. I want to be that person for my clients, not just correcting essays, but demystifying a system that can otherwise feel arbitrary and opaque.
