Hello! I'm Sathvika, a recent graduate of Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management (Class of 2024) - and it was the time of my life. From serving as Kellogg's Women's Business Association Co-President and performing in our annual business school musical to traveling the world with my classmates and partnering with Kellogg Admissions, I'm SO passionate about the unparalleled opportunities for professional and personal growth that business school has to offer. About me: I grew up in Houston, Texas and attended Boston University for my undergraduate studies in International Relations and Psychology. I then joined the corporate world where I started at Dow Chemical, working on post-merger integration projects. I then transitioned to digital transformation consulting at Accenture. Since undergrad, I knew I wanted the full-time top-tier MBA experience - so I began my application journey. The application process was intense – from GRE prep to crafting essays and securing great recommendations – all while balancing a demanding career. With an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management and a Bachelor's in Marketing and Finance from Georgetown, I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table. I'm Ryan, a former musician turned consultant turned Duke Fuqua MBA, now working in finance at State Street in Boston. My journey to business school was driven by a mission to leave communities better than I found them—through work in climate/sustainability, impact investing, and international development. As the first in my family and network to pursue an MBA, I had to navigate the application process largely on my own. Now, I help others avoid the guesswork. I’m a bilingual Harvard Business School MBA candidate who split his upbringing between Mexico and the United States. After earning AP Scholar with Distinction honors in high school, I completed an Industrial & Systems Engineering degree that grounded me in data-driven problem-solving. My career began in UNIFIN’s Special Projects group, where I evaluated the company’s potential conversion from the largest leasing platform in Latin America into a fully licensed bank. I then helped build a boutique investment-banking firm from the ground up before joining IGNIA, a leading Mexico-based VC fund. At IGNIA I deployed capital across 7+ Pre-Seed, Seed and Series A companies, led our pipeline and investment process, overhauled and streamlined our internal workflows, and became the firm’s first Senior Associate. Today I’m adding operating experience at a venture studio and its flagship startup while finishing my MBA. Beyond the numbers, I enjoy the written word: 99th-percentile score on the GRE writing assessment, published contributor and ghostwriter on Seeking Alpha, and editor at The Harbus.
