I got into Columbia Business School off the waitlist with a $100K scholarship. I'm Josh, and as a re-applicant and "non-traditional" candidate who comes from an over-represented demographic background, I understand how confusing and challenging the MBA application process can be. Currently, I'm a rising 2Y at Columbia Business School who is passionate about entrepreneurship and early-stage investing. I work part-time as an early-stage VC investor and hold several leadership positions in both school clubs and non-profit organizations. In my free time, I'm working towards scratch golf and my first Ironman triathlon. Hi! I'm Maya, an award-winning Product Manager with a strong background in Fintech, Blockchain, and the Creator Economy. I hold an MBA from Harvard Business School, where I co-chaired the Entrepreneurship club and organized the inaugural HBS Blockchain Conference. During my time at HBS, I launched a venture-backed tech startup, Privy Labs, where I am currently still Founder & CEO. As a longtime player in the NY startup ecosystem, I have mentored over 100 early-stage entrepreneurs on how to build revenue generating MVPs, raise VC, and navigate the Founder landscape. As a graduate from top MBA program UCLA Anderson, I know what it takes to put together a successful application for MBA programs. I understand the entire process understanding the hardship and struggles it takes. As a coach, I provide end to end support for the entire process, building my clients confidence throughout the process so that they start their MBA program feeling ready. I'm particularly skilled at helping others craft, embrace, and communicate their story ensuring that all written deliverables of an MBA application come together to make my clients stand out. Since my launch I've helped clients get admitted to their dream programs (with scholarship offers), including top MBA programs like Haas, Ross, Kellogg, Fuqua, Anderson, INSEAD, and Marshall. More importantly than helping my clients get admitted, I've provided my clients the support they needed for this major step, with my clients all expressing gratitude for the confidence they feel in their own abilities.

I have completed my MBA at Stanford and an MPA at the Harvard Kennedy School, and I was a Recruiting Director for BCG Boston's Empower program - a recruiting program focusing on Black and Latinx MBA candidates. I have a lot of experience supporting individuals with non-traditional backgrounds who are considering an MBA or a career in consulting. I have also supported a lot of candidates from Latin America, and coming from minority backgrounds. Since 2017, I have advised 10+ individuals applying to top MBA programs. For example, during my time at BCG, I have helped associates applying to top schools, deciding whether to pursue a dual-degree, choosing schools etc. I have also supported members of other networks who were interested in applying, especially from Latin America. Some of my coachees have been admitted to top schools, such as Stanford, MIT, HBS, Wharton and others.

I'm great at helping you convey your stories with clarity, and getting your word count down to your essay's limit with flair. I've helped several folks get into M7 and beyond programs by helping them tie their experiences to their business school goals.

About me I've sat on the other side of the table: as an admissions interviewer for Kellogg School of Management, I've evaluated real candidates and know firsthand what separates an admit from a ding. I've coached 18+ clients through the MBA admissions process and into top-tier programs. I completed the "MMM" program at Kellogg, so I also hold an MS in Design Innovation from Northwestern and separately a BS from Tufts in Quantitative Economics and International Relations.
