HBS MBA | Brand Strategist | Crafting Your Standout MBA App Story

Hi! I’m Chloe—an HBS MBA and former brand strategist here to help you craft standout MBA applications. After 5+ years in advertising, I decided to apply to business school on a whim in March 2024, giving myself just five months before Round 1 deadlines. In that time, I refined my strategy, tackled the GRE, and built a cohesive application—ultimately earning admission to 5 top-10 programs, including Harvard Business School. As a storyteller by trade, I specialize in turning your experiences into a clear, compelling narrative that actually stands out. I offer focused, high-impact support across personal story development, essay editing, school-specific positioning, and interview prep. I also know how intense this process can feel, so beyond strategy, I promise to be a sounding board, cheerleader, and voice of reason to keep you grounded and confident along the way. If you’re aiming for top programs and want sharp, thoughtful guidance throughout the process, I’d love to work together!

MBA coach for int'l students with trad. background (consulting, IB)

Most MBA applicants look very similar on paper, especially those coming from consulting or IB. The difference between getting in and getting rejected often comes down to how well you differentiate your story. I’m a strong MBA coach because I understand exactly what it takes to stand out in a highly competitive applicant pool. Coming from a consulting background at a top-tier firm with a business degree, my profile initially looked quite “standard.” I successfully developed a distinctive narrative that helped me gain admission to my dream program at MIT Sloan. Beyond admissions, I also navigated the financial side of the MBA journey, securing multiple scholarships—particularly those available to German-speaking applicants. This allows me to help candidates not only get in, but also make their MBA financially viable. Over the past few years, I’ve mentored several prospective applicants with similar consulting backgrounds, supporting them end-to-end, from school selection and storytelling to essays and interview preparation. Many have gone on to receive offers from top programs. I combine firsthand experience, a structured consulting mindset, and personalized coaching to help candidates craft applications that truly stand out.

    Columbia '15 🟢 Navy ➡️ CapitalOne ➡️ Booz ➡️ MBA ➡️ McKinsey ➡️ Startup

🟢 While I only applied to Columbia Business School, I believe the key aspects to MBA admission (GMAT, essays, references, alumni interview, and ultimately positioning yourself) are largely the same across all programs 🟢 That said, if you're looking for school-specific admissions on advice, I can only speak to CBS 🟢 In the decade+ since graduating, I've directly coached a handful of applicants and guided dozens more as they each embarked on their own admissions journey 🟢 Lastly, while it makes me feel old, I'm also proud to say I've written reference letters for a handful of HBS and Stanford GSB students who have all since graduated and are doing great things 🙋🏻‍♂️ Here to help!

Pursue Top MBA Programs With a Former Admissions Fellow's Insights!

Hi there! I'm Erin, a graduating full-time MBA candidate at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where I've honed skills in Economics and Entrepreneurship. As an Admissions Fellow at Booth, I've interviewed candidates and provided valuable insights to prospective students at admissions events, giving me a deep understanding of what top business schools are looking for. My professional journey includes strategic roles at Vanguard and an internship with McKinsey & Company, where I gained firsthand experience in management consulting and will be returning full-time after graduation. I am a proud first generation student who has successfully coached candidates in their MBA applications through the Forte Foundation network, helping them craft compelling narratives and navigate the admissions process. While at Vanguard, I spent several years in our Education Savings practice - in addition to MBA application logistics, I am well-versed in various ways to financially plan for school and am comfortable discussing program fit (i.e., full-time versus part-time). Making MBA dreams a reality is one of my favorite ways to spend my time, and I'd love to work with you!

Stanford MBA Fellow | Craft Winning Applications with Insider Insights

I tend to take the long way around, learning lessons the hard way while trying to fail forward. I’m energized by sharing those lessons and helping people with similar tendencies, backgrounds, and ambitions be a step ahead of where I was when I was in their shoes. At one point my life, I started doing things for the plot, but at a certain point, the plot started happening to me. If you’re someone who focuses less on test scores, though they do matter, and more on the story, the journey, and how all the pieces fit together, we’d be a great fit. Now for the baseball card stats: - I’m a 2025 Stanford GSB grad and now building my own company, Penguin Health, as a Stanford Impact Founder Fellow. My path to Stanford was traditional, but not really. - I went to Florida State and cold emailed 1,000 people to get a job in banking. I got fired after a year. - I failed forward and cold emailed my way into BCG, didn’t get fired, and actually liked it. I got bored though, and wanted to get closer to my dream of becoming a CEO. - I moved to Kenya, where I worked at Jumia, Africa’s first unicorn, and launched and scaled a 20-minute grocery delivery business across 10 African countries to $10M GMV in 18 months. - I applied to business school twice. - The first time, I applied to 6 schools and got 0 interviews. I wasn’t ready. - Unsure if I was going to apply again, I hired a consultant, applied to HBS and GSB, and got into both. I’ve been incredibly blessed with mentorship and guidance in my life. I want to provide that for others. Not by pretending there’s one perfect path or formula, but by helping you understand your story, sharpen your strategy, avoid the mistakes I made, and put together an application that actually sounds like you. Drop me a line, let's chat.
