I'm Oren Margolis, a former Senior Associate Director of MBA Admissions at NYU Stern, where I evaluated thousands of applications and represented the school globally. Now, I leverage that experience to help applicants navigate the MBA admissions process with clarity and confidence. Welcome to my profile! I was accepted into deferred MBA programs at the Harvard Business School and Wharton School of Business after graduating from a non-target school with an 82% acceptance rate. I had big dreams in undergrad: get into an M7 business school. But, I had no connections, no target background, and no clue how to get there. I share this because if I can do it, you can too. I spent 12 years as a staff member at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, working closely with MBA students and supporting the admissions team. During my tenure at Wharton, I acted as a trusted adviser to prospective applicants as well as admitted and matriculated students. I conducted admissions chats with applicants early in the admissions process, administered interviews with hopeful students, read and reviewed completed applicant files, and also participated in admissions committee meetings. Additionally, I also represented the school at recruiting and welcome events. Prior to joining Wharton, I spent 5 years as a journalist, writing and editing for a number of mid-sized newspapers on both the East and West coasts. I earned my undergraduate degree in journalism from Penn State University and I also hold a Masters in Liberal Arts from the University of Pennsylvania.

I applied to every top MBA program in the country without a consultant and got into all five: Stanford GSB, HBS, Wharton, Booth, and MIT Sloan. Merit scholarships from each. Multiple full rides.
