I am an MBA student at Harvard Business School and a former consultant at McKinsey & Company, with an academic background in engineering and professional experience in product and strategy consulting. Even with a less-than-competitive GMAT score, I was fortunate to be accepted to every top MBA program I applied to in the US and Europe, and I want to help you find that same success, and some joy, in your own application journey. I tend to take the long way around, learning lessons the hard way and trying to fail forward. I’m energized by sharing those lessons and helping people with similar tendencies, backgrounds, and ambitions be a step ahead of where I was when I was in their shoes. At one point in my life, I started doing things for the plot. At a certain point, the plot started happening to me. If you’re someone who focuses less on test scores, though they do matter, and more on the story, the journey, and how all the pieces fit together, we’d probably be a great fit. Now for the baseball card stats: - I’m a 2025 Stanford GSB grad. - I went to Florida State and cold emailed 1,000 people to get a job in banking. I got fired after a year. - I failed forward and cold emailed my way into BCG. Didn’t get fired this time. I actually liked it, but eventually got bored and wanted to get closer to my dream of becoming a CEO. - So I moved to Kenya and joined Jumia, Africa’s first unicorn, where I launched and scaled a 20-minute grocery delivery business across 10 African countries to $10M+ in GMV in 18 months. - I applied to business school twice. - The first time, I applied to six schools and got zero interviews. I wasn’t ready. - The second time, I hired a consultant, applied to HBS and GSB, and got into both. That last part is a big reason I coach. I’ve been incredibly blessed with mentorship and guidance in my life, and I know firsthand how much the right person can change your trajectory. I want to provide some of that for other people. I’m not going to tell you there’s one perfect path or some secret formula to getting into business school. There isn’t. But I can help you understand your story, figure out what actually matters, sharpen your strategy, avoid some of the mistakes I made, and put together an application that sounds like you. Jack specializes in helping non-traditional candidates identify the consistent threads throughout their careers to develop a clear narrative and goal to present to ADCOMs. Jack studied liberal arts, traded leveraged credit at a global investment bank, taught English and math at an elite private high school, and now attends Columbia Business School. Jack's path to the M7 was windy, but intentional. He aims to help similar candidates in need of help building the confidence and story necessary for admission to a top MBA program.

I have successfully navigated highly competitive university, MBA, and consulting recruitment processes across the UK, US, and Germany. I was admitted to the Wharton Deferred MBA programme, completed a First-Class undergraduate degree at the University of Oxford, and received a full scholarship for my Oxford MSc. I have also secured consulting offers from McKinsey, BCG, ClearView Healthcare Partners, and ZS, completed internships at BCG and Merck Inhouse Consulting, and received full-time BCG offers in both London and Munich. In parallel, I have mentored more than 15 students from underrepresented backgrounds through successful applications to leading universities in the UK and US. My coaching helps applicants build a clear personal narrative, identify their strongest differentiators, and translate academic, extracurricular, and professional experiences into compelling CVs, essays, personal statements, scholarship applications, and interview answers.
