Welcome to my profile! As a current MBA student at The Wharton School and a Master in Law candidate at the University of Pennsylvania Law School, I bring a unique blend of business and legal expertise to my coaching. Coming from a non-traditional background of public policy, I know how daunting it can be to apply to MBA programs. Prior to Wharton, I spent 5 years at the American Financial Services Association, where I advised consumer lending companies on state legislative and regulatory issues. I am also a disability inclusion advocate, serving on the board of a nonprofit called Full Spectrum Agency for Autistic adults. I am also the President of Wharton's Disability Empowerment & Action League. Before becoming a Leland coach, I have coached prospective students, helping them navigate the competitive MBA admissions process. I am especially excited to work with applicants from non-traditional backgrounds or who are passionate about disability. As a graduate of the Full-Time MBA program at the Johnson School at Cornell combined with 5+ years of experience coaching full-time MBA students on career goals and the recruiting processes, my approach to MBA admissions is a little different. Many enter with the goal "I want to get into school X." I prefer to zoom out and ask two simple questions: - What are your short-term MBA career goals? - What type of experience do you want for the duration of the two-year program? Answering these questions honestly will help you better develop a target school list and be able to better articulate in your essays and in the admissions interview why an MBA makes sense for you, ,why that school is the best fit, and what your short and long term career goals are post MBA. There's a lot more to getting a Full-Time MBA than going to the highest ranked school you can get into, because those rankings don't take into account your personal goals and preferences.

I am currently a student at Harvard Business School (HBS), where I was admitted in R1. I also received early (deferred) admission to MIT Sloan and Columbia Business School. I went to undergrad at the University of Southern California (USC), where I was awarded a full scholarship with stipend. I am originally from New York, and worked there for four years post-undergrad at Goldman Sachs and Salesforce. My background is primarily in Strategy & Operations, with a focus on M&A and Go-To-Market (GTM) functions. I will be working at McKinsey & Company in New York this upcoming summer. I have several years of experience coaching and mentoring peers through application processes, from essay editing to resume revisions to interview preparation.
