My approach to coaching comes from lived experience, not theory. I recently navigated the graduate admissions process and earned offers from the following top programs: The University of Toronto Masters of Science in Applied Computing, Carnegie Mellon Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence Engineering, Columbia Dual MBA/Executive MS: Engineering & Applied Science, UC Berkeley Electric Engineering & Computer Sciences Master of Engineering, and Carnegie Mellon Master of Science in Machine Learning program. I have confirmed my decision to attend the Machine Learning program at Carnegie Mellon this fall. Before that, I graduated Summa Cum Laude from UT Austin with a 3.96 GPA in Computer Science. I know firsthand what it takes to build a compelling application because I have done it across both technical and business programs. My strength is narrative strategy. I help you identify the through line in your experiences, position your story for the specific program type you are targeting, and write essays that are punchy, defensible, and free of inflated claims. Beyond admissions, I bring real-world credibility as someone that has worked at startups, big companies, and nonprofits as well as research experience. I will give you honest assessments, not validation, and I will work with you draft by draft until every word earns its place.

For over two decades, I've worked at the intersection of admissions and leadership development — including a decade as an admissions director at Stanford Business School, and five years as Executive Director of the school's Center for Leadership Development, where I studied and taught leadership to Stanford MBAs. The two roles showed me the same lesson from different angles: students who thrive, in the application process and afterward, are the ones who've done real self-reflection, not just résumé-building. That's the perspective I bring to undergraduate coaching. With 20+ years in leadership development alongside my admissions background, I help students figure out what they really need before we worry about how to get it. I believe how you approach this process matters — it's often the first time a young person has had to articulate their own story under institutional scrutiny, and learning to do that effectively and with integrity sets the tone for how they'll approach everything that comes next, including college itself. None of that means I lose sight of the goal. I know why you're here: to get into your dream school, ideally with options and leverage when decisions come in. My job is to make sure the structured and serious work we do together serves both — a process that builds real self-understanding, and an application that reflects it in a way admissions committees respond to. Second, I am a very strong writer and had publications published in various journals. Third, as a graduate of top schools such as Northwestern and Stanford I have had personal success in getting into top institutions and can speak from experience not just theory. I have also been an undergraduate admissions interviewer for Stanford admissions for 5 years, gaining valuable admissions qualifications experience. Finally I am very customer focused and task driven and always give a 100% effort to make sure my clients get the best results.

Hi! So nice to meet you. I bring a unique perspective to admissions coaching and crafting applications, having attended Harvard for my undergrad and now attending Oxford for 2 Masters degrees in public policy and pharmacology. I’m also a US Rhodes Scholar from Chicago, IL so am happy to chat about post-college fellowship life and application strategy as well.
