College Admissions

With six years of hands-on experience as a BYU admissions application reader and admissions counselor, I bring insider knowledge of what truly makes an application great. I've evaluated hundreds of applications, so I’ve seen firsthand what works (and what doesn’t) when it comes to essays, activities, and overall presentation. I know this process can feel overwhelming, but I'm here to help students tell their story in a way that’s honest, impressive, and true to who they are!

I wasn’t the typical profile for Carnegie Mellon University’s undergraduate class. With a 3.5 GPA and limited extracurricular involvement because I was supporting my mother at home, I assumed top schools were out of reach. What I underestimated was the power of a compelling narrative. Despite my lower GPA, I became a QuestBridge Scholar, earned a full ride to College of William & Mary and significant scholarships from University of Notre Dame and University of Virginia, and was admitted as a Science and Humanities Scholar at Carnegie Mellon University. Since then, I've helped students of different backgrounds get into their dream schools by crafting an application that highlights their strengths and mitigates their weaknesses. Whether you're looking for an extra set of eyes or to start from scratch, I'm happy to help!

I have experience as an admissions interviewer for both Penn and Harvard. I've also spent the past 8 years as a mentor to high-potential high schoolers attempting to get into top 20 undergrad programs. We can work together to identify your safety, target, and reach schools, drafting strong essays that help you stand out to admissions boards. My students have received acceptances to: Brown, Columbia, Duke, Emory, Northwestern, University of Chicago, University of Pennsylvania (Penn), University of Washington, Stanford, Smith College, Washington University in St. Louis, Vanderbilt.

As a first-generation college student and graduate of Harvard University, I know firsthand how powerful the right guidance can be. My background as a marketing consultant also means I bring a strong storytelling and strategy lens to every application. Students I’ve worked with have been accepted to their dream schools — from leading private high schools to universities such as Harvard University, Cornell University, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and Georgetown University. I tailor my approach to each student, helping them discover their voice, shape a powerful narrative, and submit applications they feel proud of. Let's work together to craft a compelling narrative that sets you apart in the competitive college admissions landscape.

I’m qualified to support college applicants because I’ve personally navigated the highly selective admissions process with strong results. I was admitted to over 15 top colleges and Ivy League Institutions, including MIT, Brown, Penn, and Cornell—representing a personal admissions success rate of over 90%. Through this experience, I developed a deep understanding of how top colleges evaluate academic rigor, intellectual curiosity, and personal narrative. I now help students apply these same principles to clarify their story, highlight their strengths, and present applications that are authentic, thoughtful, and compelling. What distinguishes my coaching is my focus on storytelling and self-understanding. I help students move beyond resumes and accolades to clearly express their intellectual curiosity, motivation, and personal values. The result is applications that feel authentic, intentional, and aligned—qualities that selective colleges consistently look for.

You have a story worth sharing: I am here to help you tell it. As a successful former collegiate applicant, accepted into multiple Ivies, securing various merit-based scholarships, and attending WashU on a full-tuition scholarship, I bring a unique perspective to the college admissions process. My academic and professional journey has equipped me with a deep understanding of what top programs seek in applicants. I have successfully coached multiple individuals and have sat on professional panels, helping students craft compelling applications to best highlight their strengths and communicate their unique story. Whether you need guidance on personal statements, recommendation letters, interview preparation, or anything else, I am here to personally help you navigate your path to achieving a place in your dream program. I am excited to work with you!

Welcome, bienvenidos, bem-vindos! I graduated with two bachelor's degrees from an Ivy League university (the University of Pennsylvania's Huntsman Program in International Studies and Business), and have served as an alumni interviewer ever since. I can help you with the college application process - anything from positioning your profile to tips and tricks on essay writing to narrowing down which school you'd like to attend. Also, I am trilingual - I'm a native English speaker originally from the United States, but I have lived and worked in Mexico and Brazil and am happy to help out in English, Spanish, or Portuguese. Please feel free to reach out!

I am passionate about helping students gain admission to top colleges by presenting their authentic interests, passions, and experiences in a compelling and cohesive way. Through my YouTube channel (youtube.com/c/JasmineRodriguez), which has grown to over 8,000 subscribers, I have shared admissions guidance with thousands of students. I supported several subscribers one-on-one in successfully navigating the college application process and earn admission to top schools such as Stanford. My approach is not about manufacturing the “perfect” applicant, but helping students identify what genuinely makes them distinctive and communicate that story effectively throughout their application.

Having coached students applying to elite and selective colleges across the US and Europe, my focus is on helping you craft the stories that help tell a compelling narrative about who you are behind the stats on your resume, application or transcripts. Helping students gain admission to the Ivy league, liberal arts programs, specialized degree programs (art, music, combined UG/GR programs)-- such as Brown, Penn, Harvard, Haverford, U of Chicago, Northwestern, and everything in between-- my focus is always personal, customized and designed to tell your unique story. As a first generation college student, I believe strongly that everyone should have the ability to access education! And, you should have a TRUE expert on your side-- one who has made admissions decisions, sat in committee rooms, managed waitlists, and crafted classes at the undergraduate and graduate level. Just getting a degree from an elite program doesn't teach you the nuances of the admissions process. As a career admissions professional, I want to give you the edge you need to get the dream school ADMIT you are seeking!

I have advised high school students on admissions to elite colleges through my various mentorship roles, including as a teaching assistant at the Rosetta Institute for Biomedical Research summer camp for high schoolers. Previous students have gone on to attend elite colleges such as Harvard, Princeton, MIT, and Yale. As a graduate of Columbia University with a background in cognitive science and philosophy, I bring a unique perspective to the college admissions process. My experience as a research assistant at both Columbia University and the University of Cambridge has honed my analytical and critical thinking skills, which I leverage to help students craft compelling applications. I have a passion for guiding students through the complexities of college admissions, ensuring they present themselves as well-rounded and unique candidates. Whether you need help with essay writing, application strategy, or interview preparation, I'm here to support you every step of the way.
