I have extensive interviewing experience from throughout my professional career, including MBA admissions interviews, MBB consulting interviews, and behavioral interviews in a variety of forms. I have also given countless mock interviews and have experience giving very detailed, nuanced feedback and tips to help candidates find immediate growth opportunities. I graduated from Chicago Booth's Full Time MBA program in 2018. I was accepted into multiple top tier MBA schools, received significant scholarships to all schools ($275K in total, including the prestigious Siebel Scholarship), and achieved a 760 on the GMAT. While at Booth, I was a Booth Admissions Fellow and conducted over 30 admission interviews for the full time program, including for the Booth Scholars program (deferred admission for undergrad students). Additionally, once accepted, I advised colleagues and friends on the MBA process from school selection to applications to interviews.

After spending six years as a software engineer in the Bay Area, I decided to take on the challenge of applying to MBA programs—which turned out to be quite the adventure (so much so that I did it twice!). With my DIY approach to life, I handled most of the application process on my own. A big thanks to the awesome Leland coaches who helped me nail the interviews, leading to acceptances from three out of my four top-choice schools. Now, I'm enjoying my time pursuing an MBA at Harvard Business School. Along the way, I've picked up more insights about the program than I ever expected. I realized I love sharing what I've learned and helping others on their own paths. That's why I joined Leland. As someone who had a very non-traditional path to her MBA, as I studied humanities undergrad, I offer a unique perspective on how to position yourself as the ideal MBA candidate and perfectly well-rounded addition to your MBA program. I am here to support with school selection, essay narrative and editing, interview prep, and networking strategy. I have experience both undergrad and graduate school in supporting peers writing and editing their own personal stories, and have extensive experience coaching and mentoring as well. I also have indepth marketing experience - starting from the creative agency (Wunderman Thompson, Conde Nast), and moving toward big CPG Companies (Mattel - Summer MBA Internship, and Molson Coors). After completing my degree in Accounting from the University of Utah, I quickly felt bored and like a cog in a massive corporate machine. I had a lifelong goal of getting an MBA, but quickly learned there is an overwhelming amount of routes to take for a graduate degree. Do I quit my job and go for a top full-time MBA program? Do I keep working and get into an online or part-time program that may take several years? I knew I wanted to work in finance sho should I pursue a Master's of Finance instead? Ultimately, I decided to keep working, got admitted to the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management and completed the part-time program in 13 months without ever taking the GMAT. I love to coach people through this overwhelming process and help them decide what is best for them as there are so many options to accomplish the end goal. It is possible to complete an MBA quickly without leaving your job as I can attest.
