Best GRE Tutors 2026–27

The best GRE tutors, chosen by customers to reach 325+ scores and a spot in top MBA and graduate programs at Wharton, HBS, Booth, Stanford and more.

Updated

The best GRE tutors in 2026-27 are the people customers choose when a score has to open doors. This list is built for students and parents deciding who deserves a first conversation, often a few months before a deadline. It draws on Leland's data from millions of customers: who people hire, who they ask to talk to first, and what they say afterward.

The group covers a wide range of backgrounds. You will find tutors with Wharton, HBS, Booth, Columbia, MIT and Stanford ties, a former Kaplan instructor and course author, a Manhattan Prep instructor trainer, and tutors with 20,000 or more hours in the classroom. Many have posted scores of 99th percentile or perfect quant results themselves, and many work across GMAT, LSAT and other tests, which helps if you are weighing several paths.

What they help with is specific. Some focus on quant, some on verbal, some on test anxiety, and some on fast plans for people on a short runway. Others pair live tutoring with self-paced courses or connect your score to MBA and master's applications. Whether the goal is a 320, a 325 or a 340, you can find someone who has coached toward it.

This list is not ranked. It is ordered by demand: how many customers chose to work with each tutor. To choose, match a tutor's strength to your gap, whether that is a section, a timeline or nerves on test day, then book an intro call and see how the conversation feels.

What a GRE tutor does and when it is worth hiring one

A GRE tutor's job is to find where your points are leaking and fix those spots first. That sounds simple. In practice it means a lot of looking at your mistakes.

What happens in a session

Most engagements start with a diagnostic: a full or partial practice test, then a review of what went wrong and why. From there the tutor builds a plan around the gaps. A quant-focused tutor like Sujoy Kumar D. or Marie B. will spend time on algebra, arithmetic and data analysis patterns. A tutor with a verbal background, like Bri M., will work on reading strategy and vocabulary in context.

A good session usually includes:

  • Reviewing missed questions and naming the habit behind each miss
  • Teaching a method, then having you try it on fresh problems
  • Timing drills, since pacing sinks more scores than content gaps
  • Homework that is short and specific, not a pile of practice sets

What a tutor does not do

A tutor cannot take the test for you, and no tutor can promise a score or an admission result. They also will not replace your own practice. The students who improve most do the work between sessions. If you want a primer on what you are up against, How Hard Is the GRE? lays out the difficulty with examples.

Who gets the most out of one

A tutor tends to pay off when:

  • You have taken a practice test and your score is stuck below your target
  • One section drags the other down
  • Test anxiety changes how you perform. Avi L. and Jennifer P. D. both lead with this on their profiles
  • You have a short runway. Bryan C. builds his plans for two to three months
  • You are applying to MBA programs and want the score to fit the bigger plan. Rifat M. and Siri O. bring business school backgrounds, with HBS and Booth on their profiles

Who can skip it

If you are already scoring near your target on practice tests and just need more repetition, self-study may be enough. A structured course can also work. Jacob Z. pairs live sessions with an on-demand course, which suits people who like to work alone and check in with a person now and then. If you are still deciding whether to go the course route, Best GRE Prep Courses Online compares options.

Check the target before you hire

A good score depends on where you are applying. Business schools, law schools and graduate programs all read the number differently. What Is a Good GRE Score? walks through percentiles and what schools expect, and it will help you set a goal worth paying a tutor to chase.

Bruce Hanson

Wharton MBA 10+ Years of Experience Specializes in 325+ Scores

  • 4.98
    45 reviews
  • From $295/hr

Bruce brings a Wharton MBA and more than a decade of GRE tutoring to students who are aiming for a very high score. Customers point to his depth of experience and the confidence it gives them going into a high-stakes test. Best for: Students aiming for a top-tier GRE score who want a tutor with a deep track record.

  • “When I met Bruce, my quant was ABYSMAL. I was so worried I was going to have to completely start over and relearn years of forgotten math. But Bruce has identified super simple patterns and frameworks to breakdown the test so you only spend time learning exactly what you need to get 160+. And the patterns/frameworks are so easy to learn and completely different than anything I was ever taught or anything that is on the internet today. Cannot recommend Bruce enough!”

    Jacob T.
  • “Bruce helped me improve my Quant score from sad and pathetic to being right where I need to be for T15 program applications. His frameworks aren't rigid, they are flexible enough to be applied to individuals, and the exam felt easier than when I worked with Bruce and his problem sets. I cannot recommend Bruce enough. He is easily underpriced considering the remarkable improvement I was able to enjoy. The online scaled programs are alright at best, but figuring out the language of the GRE and how to kill it person-to-person are what Bruce thrives at delivering.”

    Grant D.
  • “Bruce was exceptional in his flexibility for his students and ability to teach tricky GRE content in a digestible way. I worked with several other online platforms, but Bruce's tutoring was by far the most useful and one I wish I had started with from the jump. I improved my score by over 10 points over the span of a couple of months, and it's all thanks to Bruce! Thanks, Bruce!”

  • From $129/hr

Andrew teaches in more than one format, so students can learn the way that suits them, from live one-on-one sessions to video lessons. Customers like how approachable he makes the material and how well he adapts to each learner. Best for: Students who want to pick between one-on-one, group and video formats.

  • “I did a speed-run with prepswift and had Andrew teach me some additional techniques. TBH - he gives a very valuable perspective and allowed me to score higher than I would have with just prepswift. If I were to do it all over again, I would just do quant foundation with Prepswift and have Andrew help me with techniques, etc. My scores before were all below 325.”

    Warren J.
  • “I worked with Andrew for two months leading up to my GRE, and he helped me boost my score by 13 points! He knows exactly how to tackle every concept and teaches you how to study smart, not just more. I absolutely recommend Andrew for anything GRE-related!”

Matt has written GRE course material and taught for Kaplan, so he knows the test from both the teaching side and the content side. Customers value the clear structure he brings to their prep. Best for: Students who want a structured, curriculum-minded approach to GRE prep.

  • “Matt was an amazing GRE tutor and helped me improve my score from 315 to 325 in just 2–3 weeks. He quickly identified where I was losing marks, gave me clear and practical strategies, and made a huge difference in a very short period of time. I’d highly recommend him to anyone looking to improve their GRE score!”

    Ashwin G.
  • “When I first started working with Matt, my baseline score was 289, and I honestly had a lot of doubts. Matt helped me break the test down into manageable pieces and gave me a clear plan to follow. He was great at identifying where I was struggling and making sure I focused my time on the areas that would make the biggest difference. More importantly, he helped me build confidence and stay consistent throughout the process. I ended up scoring a 320 on the GRE. If you're looking for a tutor, I highly recommend Matt.”

    Steve C.
  • “Matt's session shared very useful techniques for saving time on the GRE quant section. His session was also engaging, allowing us to practice what we learnt in the moment”

  • “if there's anyone who can help u get your dream score it's Saad”

    Anonymous
  • “Hi, I'm Paula. I studied business administration (BWL) for my Bachelor's in Berlin, Germany, and found myself in a tricky situation: I had been admitted to my dream university together with my boyfriend, but I still had to submit a GRE score of 316 - otherwise I wouldn't have been able to start there this year, as it was the last condition I needed to fulfill. A friend recommended tutoring, which is how I came across Leland, where I was lucky enough to attend an event with Saad and another coach. I was still a bit skeptical, since I had never done coaching before, but I had the feeling that Saad had truly absorbed this test and understood it psychologically — and, most importantly, had taken it himself multiple times. That's why I decided on private tutoring with Saad. So I'd love to share my unique journey with Saad with you all: First, a bit about my general background — unfortunately, I never had a good relationship with math, even though I studied business administration in my Bachelor's. But with Saad, that changed fundamentally. He never made me feel stupid or like there was a question I couldn't ask. The way he advocates for other people is truly impressive, both on a human and a professional level. What I found especially effective was that Saad could quickly tell me which topics I should focus on to reach my target score. That was a huge game changer for me, because my biggest frustration when studying on my own before had come from feeling like I knew everything and nothing at the same time — the sheer amount of material on the GRE can quickly overwhelm you if you're a perfectionist like me and want to understand everything completely. We prepared really well together for over 4 weeks, until I unexpectedly got the chance of a GRE waiver from my university because I had received a McKinsey interview. Instead of telling me I should take the GRE anyway just to be safe about my spot at the university, Saad told me from the very beginning that he would be genuinely happy for me if I got a waiver and could start studying together with my boyfriend. I think that speaks for itself and is by no means a given in a profit-driven coaching market. That's why I'm grateful to Saad from the bottom of my heart for all his support, and for always managing to make time for me despite his high demand. Finally, I'd like to mention how impressed I am by Saad's network: when he heard about my McKinsey opportunity, he immediately connected me with one of his McKinsey contacts, so that I could practice with them daily, free of charge. That's an opportunity that is anything but normal, and I'm extremely grateful for it. Funnily enough, even his mck contact was his former student who had scored a 329 with him (166Q,163V,AWA: 5.5) and I realised that people genuinely wanted to pay forward when saad recommended me anyone. This is something that was very very very special for me. A quick note on my 4 weeks of GRE preparation: (For my university, Quant mattered more than Verbal, so I focused on Quant first.) I first watched Target Test Prep videos to refresh my fundamentals, but thanks to Saad I quickly switched to Magoosh, since I had gotten completely lost in Target and the Magoosh videos are shorter and more to the point. From then on, I only used Target for custom tests — when I had finished Saad's assignments and wanted to practice a specific topic at a specific difficulty level. The same went for the Manhattan book. A real game changer for me was the three-stage error log (every question has to be answered correctly three times before it's marked as done, and any formulas I got wrong were noted on a separate sheet). On days when I also had university classes for my final Bachelor's courses, I would at least go through the formulas from the error log. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for everyone here and your dream universities, and I hope Saad and I will stay friends forever, because over the course of my preparation he truly became a dear friend to me and I’m proud to have a 🇵🇰 friend. 🇵🇰🤝🇩🇪 Paula (LinkedIn: Paula Valentin Verch)”

  • “I had the privilege to work with Saad to write my GRE. Before I spoken to Saad, I had already tried a few tutors to help with prep, but none of them felt as personalised and supportive as Saad, and I was not seeing much improvement in my scores. He has a distinct style of teaching, which he has honed by being collaborative, and very specialised to each person’s needs. I liked the fact that Saad nudged me to provide as much information before our call as possible, as he came prepared with very specific advice and areas I need to work on. I was especially struggling with the Verbal section, and Saad guided me through my thought process of solving questions, where I could be going wrong, and how I can tackle it. Moreover, he even told me about specific resources I can use to improve my skills in Verbal, which have indeed turned out to be successful. Overall, I would recommend Saad to anyone who really wants to ace their GRE prep, and is looking for a genuine, kind-hearted tutor.”

Avi speaks directly to the nerves and blocks that hold students back, whether on verbal, math or test day itself. Customers appreciate how he meets them where they are and builds their confidence along with their skills. Best for: Students who freeze on test day or feel stuck on either the verbal or the math section.

  • “Avi is exactly the coach I needed to help get me to where I needed to go. If you come to him with a goal for the GRE, he will help set a program for you to achieve it. All you need to do is trust the process and follow the program. Phenomenal coach and pushes you to new levels of performance you may not have previously thought possible.”

    Anonymous
  • “I worked with Avi while preparing for the GRE, and he is truly the best tutor on the market - I interviewed countless. I had been studying for 6+ months before we started working together, but he immediately brought a level of clarity and strategy that I hadn’t come across anywhere else. What sets Avi apart is how practical and targeted his approach is. His guidance was specific and actionable. He shared tips and ways of thinking about the test that I genuinely had not encountered in any prep materials or prior studying. Those insights helped me approach questions more efficiently and avoid common mistakes that had been holding me back. Beyond the technical side, Avi was incredibly supportive throughout the process. Preparing for the GRE is a journey, and Avi played a huge role in helping me rebuild confidence in my abilities. He pushed me when I needed it, but always in a way that felt encouraging and constructive. If you’re looking for a GRE tutor who combines strong test knowledge with practical strategy and real support, I would recommend Avi without hesitation to anybody and everybody!!! Working with him made a meaningful difference in both my performance and my confidence going into the exam.”

    Emma W.
  • “When I first began the MBA application process, I was shocked by the prices associated with high quality coaches. I soon began to realize how priceless Avi’s time, expertise, and energy is. He pushed me when I needed to dig deeper on an essay, instilled confidence before an upcoming GRE exam, and encouraged me not to give up on my exam score. You’re not only getting spectacular perspective and guidance with Avi, but also how to navigate the emotional experience that is studying for and applying to an MBA. I was blown away to receive acceptances and scholarships from 4 schools, and that is a testament to Avi’s intimate knowledge of the programs and helping to articulate my story thoroughly. This process is a marathon and it’s important to do it with someone you 100% trust to have your best interests at heart - look no further than Avi to get you where you want to go.”

GRE Tutor ~ 99th Percentile ~ Specializing in Quant ~ 20+ yrs experience.

  • 4.85

  • From $250/hr

Marie has scored in the 99th percentile herself and has spent more than twenty years teaching, with a focus on quant. Customers like her patient, experienced approach to the math section. Best for: Students who want focused help on the quant section from a long-time tutor.

  • “Marie was an incredible resource for me in taking the GRE. Before I worked with Marie, my Quantitative scores were fairly stagnant at around 159-162. In just three and a half weeks of working with her, my score improved significantly: In my final two practice tests, I scored a 170 and a 168 in Quant, and scored a 168 on the actual exam. Her vast collection of questions, instructive videos, and other resources directly helped boost my score to the next level, not to mention her around-the-clock responsiveness. I did not anticipate how much work she'd make me do outside of sessions, but I can confidently say that her rigorous style was exactly what I needed to improve so significantly in such a short amount of time. I highly recommend Marie for any GRE takers in search of a high quality and attentive tutor.”

    Evan B.
  • “Marie helped me increase my quant score by almost 15 points!! She explains the quant concepts in new ways to provide successful techniques to solve problems faster. Can’t recommend her enough!”

  • “Eric is a patient, thoughtful, and practical GRE coach. He takes the time to understand how you approach questions and helps identify where your reasoning may be going off track. I appreciated that his sessions were flexible and focused on the areas where I needed the most support. He explains concepts clearly and, rather than simply giving the answer, helps you understand the reasoning and strategy behind it. His feedback was always constructive and useful, and I usually left our sessions with a clearer idea of what to practise next. Eric is also kind, approachable, and easy to work with. I’m grateful for his guidance during my GRE preparation and would be happy to work with him again when I resume studying. I would recommend him to students looking for a supportive and practical GRE coach.”

    Kelly Z.
  • “Eric was great to work with as a coach. He is highly knowledgeable and meets you exactly where you are in your quant understanding. He has a strong ability to take complex quant topics and break them down into clear, manageable concepts. In addition to helping me build confidence and tackle more difficult questions, he also introduced effective test‑taking strategies that improved my overall performance on the quant section. When you work with Eric, you get someone who is skilled, attentive to your needs, and committed to helping you strengthen both your understanding and your approach. I highly recommend him!”

    Kyle N.
  • “Eric helped me improve my Quant score above my target goal after only working with him for a couple weeks. He was extremely patient with me and adjusted prep to what I preferred. He clearly explained any question that I had trouble with. I highly recommend working with Eric for various test taking strategies and techniques, along with targeted test prep for specific goals!”

Sergey has logged thousands of hours teaching and covers both quant and verbal. Customers value having one tutor who can work on either section with the same depth. Best for: Students who want one tutor for both quant and verbal.

  • “Took math tutoring for GRE from Sergey. He explained everything in a comprehensive manner with the right strategies to tackle the questions. Definitely would recommend him if you need help.”

    Adi J.
  • “I only attended their free webinar, GRE Quantitative Reasoning, but I was honestly impressed. Sergey has a concise, easy-to-understand teaching style, making it clear that you will benefit a lot from their guidance. Hopefully, I'll have time in the future for their tutoring.”

    Yadira R.
  • “Sergey is amazing! He took time to understand my learning style and goals, then crafted an overall, targeted plan to try to boost my score quant 5 points over 3 weeks (which was a tall order!) At the end of every session, we went over how we could better tailor the already very well-targeted overall plan. This all paid off in spades, as I increased my quant score 8 points (more than I targeted) and somehow, the confidence boost even allowed me to improve my verbal score 3 points too (that score was already fine, so we didn't focus on that). I'd highly recommend Sergey to anyone who is feeling like they've gone as far as they can studying on their own (I studied for 3 months on my own before the sessions with Sergey) and looking to gain a final boost from tutoring.”

Veteran Manhattan Prep Instructor Trainer | 25+ years | Score maker!

  • From $200/hr

Josh has taught for more than twenty-five years and trained other Manhattan Prep instructors. Customers value his methodical, experienced way of breaking the test down. Best for: Students who want a veteran teacher with a methodical approach to the test.

  • “Josh is an amazing tutor! After my second GRE attempt, I was focused on improving my Quant score (I had previously scored a 156 and a 153) with only three weeks to prepare, all while balancing other parts of my application. The most helpful thing Josh did was take the burden of creating a study plan off my shoulders. He provided excellent resources and designed a detailed plan outlining what we would cover in class and what to work on between sessions. After four sessions working together, I took the GRE again and scored a 162 in Quant. I was thrilled — I truly could not have done it without Josh!”

    Sydney W.
  • “Working with Josh was a genuine privilege. In just a few sessions, he was able to diagnose problem areas for me with regard to the GRE and build out a study plan to rectify them. From tutoring sessions to slide decks and strategy guides, Josh's tutelage was indispensable on my application journey. Thanks largely to his efforts, I was able to gain admittance to a deferred MBA program and will be attending in a few short years. Thanks Josh!”

    Jackson E.
  • “I decided to spend the money for a private tutor because I struggled with testing due to burnout which is self-inflicted and my migraines from my previous work. I asked Josh for help after scoring a 305 on my official test after studying for 2 months for the GRE. After working with Josh after a month, I scored a 317 which I felt ecstatic about but felt I could squeeze out a few more points. I paid for an extra hour with Josh and worked with the tools he provided me to make the final push for my GRE and I was able to score a 321. WIth his score, I was able to get into a couple of my grad programs. Ultimately got into Penn and Chicago for my MSCS and MBA programs. I don't think I would have been able to afforded the opportunity with these programs without his help for my GRE. Throughout my entire GRE journey, Josh was able to diagnose where my weaknesses were, and ways to improve my approach to the test and how to prepare for the days leading up to the test. Trying to tackle the test alone is still achievable, but I the amount of time I saved with Josh as my personal tutor versus trying to tackle the test alone saved me a lot of time as I was still working full time when I was preparing for the test. Josh is very understanding and will know how to relate to you to get the best out of you. I highly recommend Josh if you are still debating on whether you want to pay for a private tutor. Thank you Josh!”

He was also so supportive and went out of his way to zoom me after each test and go over how I felt about it and my GRE score report. After working with Nick, I broke 160s in each subject and got the score I wanted. Highly recommend hiring Nick!”

What the people on this list help with

The GRE tutors on this list cover a wide spread of situations. Here is how they group, so you can find yours.

You need to raise your quant score

Several tutors lead with math. Sujoy Kumar D. and Marie B. both list more than twenty years of experience with a quant focus. Eric V. lists a perfect quant score and a research fellowship at Stanford. John B. lists 170 on quant and 167 on verbal. If algebra, geometry or data analysis is where you lose points, start with this group. The library has focused guides on GRE algebra, data analysis and geometry to try before your first call.

You need both sections to move

Sergey K. lists 20,000 or more hours and works across quant and verbal. Siri O. lists scores above 160 on both. Saad A. highlights a jump from 296 to 339 and shares student results publicly. This group fits students who want one person to run the whole plan.

You freeze, or the test makes you anxious

Avi L. names test anxiety, verbal struggles and math phobia right in his headline. Jennifer P. D. also leads with test anxiety, alongside a perfect verbal score. Reviews for people in this group tend to talk about calm and confidence as much as content. If nerves are your issue, How to Break the Cycle of Performance Anxiety is worth a read.

You are short on time

Bryan C. runs a fast-track format built on recent test questions. Kunal B. offers direct one-on-one help toward a 320 or higher. If your test date is close, read Last-Minute GRE Prep Tips too.

You want structure or a course

Matt R. is a GRE course author and a former Kaplan instructor. Josh B. is a Manhattan Prep instructor trainer. Jacob Z. and Andrew C. both offer video or on-demand material next to live sessions. Nick S. is a Columbia graduate with long GRE teaching experience.

You are applying to business school or comparing tests

Bruce H. lists a Wharton MBA and works with students aiming for very high scores. Rifat M. lists an HBS MBA. Bri M. connects GRE prep to MBA and master's applications. David B. teaches the GRE, GMAT and LSAT, which helps if you are still choosing a test. These guides can help you decide: GMAT vs. GRE for an MBA, GRE vs. LSAT for law school and GRE for Business School.

What customers say afterward

Across verified reviews, the themes are consistent: a clear plan, patient explanations, and confidence on test day. Customers talk less about tricks and more about a tutor who figured out how they think. Use that as a filter when you read profiles.

How to choose a GRE tutor

Picking a tutor is easier when you start with yourself, not with the list.

Step 1: name your gap

Take a practice test. Write down your section scores, your timing problems and the moments you lost focus. Then pick the label that fits best:

  • Quant is the problem
  • Verbal is the problem
  • Both are fine, but timing or nerves are not
  • The score is fine, but I need it by a certain date

That label points you to a type of tutor on this list. A quant specialist helps little if verbal is what is holding you back.

Step 2: read the profile for specifics

A strong profile tells you who the tutor works with and how. Look for:

  • A clear specialty, such as quant, verbal, anxiety or fast timelines
  • Concrete background, such as a program, a prior teaching role or years of experience
  • A format that fits you: one-on-one, group, video or a course

Be wary of broad promises. A headline that says everything to everyone tells you little.

Step 3: read the reviews

Skim for patterns, not praise. Do reviewers mention a plan? Do they describe how the tutor handled a weak spot like yours? Reviews that name a section or a situation are more useful than general enthusiasm.

Step 4: use the intro call

The first conversation is where you test fit. Ask:

  • How will you diagnose where I am losing points?
  • What does a typical week look like, and how much work happens outside sessions?
  • How do you adjust if my practice scores stall?
  • What materials do you use, and do I need to buy anything?
  • Have you worked with someone with my timeline and target?

A good tutor answers in specifics and asks you questions back.

Red flags

  • A guaranteed score or guaranteed admission
  • No plan, or a plan that is the same for everyone
  • Pressure to commit to a big block of sessions before you have talked
  • Vague answers about their own background
  • No verified reviews and no way to check their claims

Think about price and fit together

Hourly rates on this list run from $70 to $420. Higher is not automatically better for you. A tutor at a lower rate who targets your exact gap can beat a pricier generalist. Ask about packages on each profile, then compare cost against how many sessions your plan actually needs.

If you want to see how others compare options, The 10 Best GRE Tutors is a good second read. And if you are weighing a tutor against self-study, The 3 Biggest Mistakes People Make Preparing for the GRE shows what to avoid either way.

When to start and what the work looks like

Most people start later than they should. A GRE score takes weeks to move, and retakes need room on the calendar.

A realistic timeline

Work backward from your earliest application deadline or test date. Register early, since popular dates fill up. GRE Test Dates explains how to choose and register, and How Late Can You Take the GMAT or GRE for MBA Applications? helps if you are applying to business school.

A common pattern looks like this:

  • Several months out: Take a diagnostic, set a target, and book intro calls. This is the best time to start.
  • Two to three months out: Enough for a focused plan. Bryan C. builds his fast-track format around this window.
  • Under a month: Possible, but tight. Expect to focus on pacing and the biggest gap only.

What a typical engagement covers

Every tutor works differently, but the shape is familiar.

Early weeks. Diagnostic, error review, and a plan. You learn the format and timing. If you want the basics first, see GRE Exam Pattern and How Long Is the GRE?.

Middle weeks. Content work on your weakest areas. Quant students drill topics such as arithmetic and work through quant practice resources. Verbal students build reading strategy and vocabulary. Writing practice fits here too, and How to Prepare for the GRE Analytical Writing Section is a good companion.

Later weeks. Full-length practice tests under real conditions, then review. This is where tutors who focus on test anxiety, like Avi L. and Jennifer P. D., earn their keep.

Final week. Light review, rest and logistics. Do not cram new material.

Why starting early pays off

  • You have time to find the right tutor, not just the first one available
  • You can change course if the plan is not working
  • A retake stays an option instead of a crisis
  • You can spread the cost across weeks instead of packing sessions together

Build a plan you can keep

Short, regular study beats rare marathons. If you want a template, GRE Study Plan & Schedule offers one, three and six month versions written by a pro tutor.

What a good outcome looks like

The goal is not a perfect score. It is a score that fits the programs you are applying to. Check GRE Score Percentiles to see where your target sits. Then use your tutor to close the distance with a plan you can actually follow.

How we select the best GRE tutors

Leland works with millions of customers, and that gives us a lot to learn from: content, outcomes, anonymized transcripts, and the choices people make when they hire. We use that Leland data, alongside each GRE tutor's public profile, to decide who belongs on this list of GRE tutors.

We look at the signals that say a GRE tutor does good work: verified reviews and ratings from customers, how people talk about their results afterward, how much GRE experience shows up in each public profile, who customers choose to book, and who they ask to talk to first.

This is a list, not a rank and not a score. We publish no weights. Everyone on this list offers GRE tutoring on Leland. Nobody can pay to be included.
