I successfully broke into Bain Capital’s Tokyo office as a non-Japanese MBA candidate—an uncommon and highly competitive path that required sharp positioning, cultural fluency, and a deep understanding of what leading private equity firms look for. Over the course of recruiting, I received multiple offers from Asia-focused megafunds and was invited to final rounds at many others, giving me a well-rounded view of how top firms evaluate candidates at each stage. I bring five years of Private Equity experience in London at a leading mid-market fund, where I evaluated hundreds of companies and worked on transactions totaling over $1 billion in enterprise value. I was the only woman on the investment team of ~50 professionals and was promoted to Investment Manager within 2.5 years, the first female at my firm to reach that level. I served as a board observer and worked closely with management teams on growth strategy, acquisitions, and operational improvements, from SaaS pricing and go-to-market design to senior hiring. Because I’ve sat on the investor side of the table, I understand exactly how investment committees think, what makes a deal compelling, and why strong candidates sometimes get rejected. As a coach, I help clients translate their background into a clear “investor narrative,” sharpen commercial judgment, and practice real case-style discussions so they can confidently navigate interviews and succeed once on the job. I have significant experience recruiting for jobs in finance, including both private equity associate and hedge fund roles. After two years in public accounting, I was able to transition into private equity operations. I worked as a FinOps Analyst, focusing on FP&A projects for B2B SaaS portfolio companies, including financial reporting, financial modeling, SaaS metrics, and accounting. He is also on the board of directors of A Red Orchid Theatre. He was on the board of directors of The Printing Museum. Dozie earned a bachelor of science, magna cum laude, in electrical engineering from the honors college of University of Mississippi, a master of supply chain management from Pennsylvania State University, a master of public policy from University of Cambridge as a Gates Cambridge Scholar, and a master of business administration from Harvard Business School.

As a former Senior Manager at Bain & Company, I was part of the Private Equity Group practice leadership team and actively involved in recruiting and interviewing candidates for key positions. My experience extends to Sequoia Capital currently as a Principal at a leading Southeast Asia growth equity fund, where I lead the investment team for a leading growth equity fund in Southeast Asia. Having coached numerous individuals, I am passionate about guiding aspiring professionals to excel in their private equity pursuits, especially those transitioning from a management consulting background.
