I’ve spent a meaningful part of my career on the investing side, working in private equity and leading acquisition efforts, and later advising founder-led businesses through transactions. That experience gave me a clear view into how investment professionals actually evaluate companies, make decisions, and think about risk, upside, and positioning. I’ve also been on the other side of the table working with operators and founders, which is often where candidates struggle to connect their experience to what investors are really looking for. Breaking into private equity is not just about credentials. It’s about how you position your experience, how you think about businesses, and how you communicate that in a way that resonates with investors. I help candidates understand how the process actually works, what differentiates strong candidates, and how to close the gap between where they are and where they want to be. My approach is grounded in real-world experience across deals, hiring, and working alongside investment teams, not generic recruiting advice.

Welcome to my profile! I’m currently a Private Equity Associate at Abry Partners, a Boston-based firm managing over $18B in assets. I began my career in Investment Banking at Solomon Partners and graduated from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business. At Solomon, I was actively involved in recruiting — interviewing and screening 50+ candidates — and developed a strong sense of what top firms are really looking for. I’ve since gone through the on-cycle private equity process myself and know how tough and opaque it can feel, especially without the right guidance. Understand the psychology of companies and how you can 'game' the recruiting process

I have over five years of experience working at a top-tier tech-focused private equity firm. Over my time at Francisco Partners I have been able to work on numerous platform investments, add-ons, financings and liquidity events for the firm. I have in-depth experience on what it takes to land a spot in this competitive industry having gone through the craziness of associate recruiting while working at Goldman Sachs, and then participating on the hiring side during my time at Francisco Partners. I have reviewed dozens of resumes for analyst and associate positions, conducted countless behavioral and technical interviews and been a part of hiring discussions and decision-making. I have also administered, reviewed and assessed candidates on LBO model tests and other technical case studies that are critical to landing a job. I also know what it takes to be a successful investor at the junior level, having navigated a competitive and challenging promotion to Vice President. I am excited to be able to share some of my experience with you and help you as you navigate this challenging industry.

I help ambitious professionals break into private equity — and convert interviews into offers — across growth equity and buyout roles. My approach goes well beyond traditional interview coaching: I work as a dedicated external PE preparation partner, helping candidates diagnose why they are not converting, sharpen their investor narrative, master technicals, develop stronger investment judgment, prepare deal discussions and case studies, and perform under pressure in live recruiting processes. Preparation is highly personalized and can include firm-specific interview strategy, custom technical and behavioral flashcards, realistic mock interviews, detailed written feedback, and targeted remediation between rounds. I bring the perspective of an active investor and deal practitioner. I’m the Founder of Zeus Global, an independent private equity platform where I lead transactions from sourcing and underwriting through diligence, structuring, capital formation, and post-close value creation, with a focus on software and tech-enabled services. Previously, I led growth and middle-market investing at a $5B family office and held investment roles at LeapFrog Investments and the Africa Finance Corporation. I earned my MBA from Stanford GSB. Having taken a non-traditional path into investing myself, I’m particularly effective with candidates moving from private credit, consulting, operating roles, engineering, or other adjacent backgrounds who need to translate strong experience into the judgment, technical fluency, and communication style expected of a private equity investor.

I spent 3 years working at Sylva (PE fund buying training / L&D firms) as an Operating Partner. I ran their Chief of Staff and BizOps Network businesses, growing them 40% YoY. I reported directly to the CEO / Managing Partner. I was brought into Sylva by way of acquisition; my company Upslope was a training firm for Operations professionals. I started a search fund, diligenced 100+ companies, acquired one, and have grown it 30% YoY. I am in the process of acquiring another company to bolt-on.

I’ve spent several years operating inside private equity-backed companies, partnering directly with sponsors, CEOs, management teams, and Boards to drive value creation. Across roles with Shore Capital and New Harbor Capital portfolio companies, my experience has spanned growth strategy, commercial transformation, pricing and profitability, KPI development, M&A and integration, organizational buildout, and exit preparation. I’ve also had exposure to the investment side of PE through MBA internships and working closely with deal teams throughout my operating roles. I can help you understand the different paths into PE operations, position your experience for portfolio operations and portfolio company leadership roles, prepare for interviews and case studies, and navigate what these roles actually look like day-to-day.

After two years in management consulting, I joined Tower Arch Capital where I've learned what makes the difference for successful candidates breaking in private equity. When recruiting for PE, I found that most of the resources out there were catered to investment bankers. I aim to help applicants understand the process and master the skills necessary to land an offer and be successful in private equity. I've successfully navigated the highly competitive growth equity recruiting process, securing offers at Blackstone, General Atlantic, Norwest Venture Partners, and Lead Edge Capital. Most recently, I worked as an Analyst at Lead Edge Capital, where I focused on sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities. I've coached students who have landed roles at top growth equity and private equity firms, including Blackstone, General Atlantic, and Lead Edge. My specialty is helping candidates break into sourcing-focused growth equity analyst programs. These roles require a different skill set than traditional private equity (less modeling, more market mapping and deal origination), and I know exactly what firms are looking for because I've been on both sides of the process.
