Find the Right Architecture & Design Master’s Program
Embarking on a Master’s in Architecture or Design can be exciting — but also overwhelming. Which degree should you pursue? Which schools should you apply to? Is a Master’s even the right next step? How competitive is your profile? And how should you start preparing? This 1:1 consultation is designed to help you step back, look at the bigger picture, and build a clear direction for your graduate school journey. Having completed my Master’s in Design Studies at Harvard Graduate School of Design and M.Arch II at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor , I’ve experienced this process myself. My own path has taken me across architecture, design, technology, and entrepreneurship, and I can help you think not only about where you want to study, but what you want that education to lead to. Here’s what we can work through together: ➜ Master’s Direction & Career Goals: We’ll start with your background, interests, experience, and where you want your career to go. We can discuss whether graduate school makes sense for you now and what kind of education could best support your goals. ➜ Degree & Program Selection: M.Arch, MDes, MS, Urban Design, Landscape Architecture, Interior Design, Design Technology, Computational Design, or something else? We’ll explore which paths may be the strongest fit for you. ➜ School Selection: We’ll discuss programs and universities worth considering and how to think about building a balanced school list based on your goals, profile, interests, location preferences, and ambitions. ➜ Application Readiness & Strategy: We can look at where you currently stand as an applicant — your education, professional experience, portfolio, resume, and overall story — and identify what you may want to strengthen before applying. ➜ Portfolio & Essays: If you already have materials, we can discuss them at a high level and identify where your portfolio or application story may need more work. This session is about direction and strategy rather than detailed editing. ➜ Cost, Scholarships & Practical Considerations: We can also discuss tuition, geography, program length, career outcomes, and funding considerations so that you’re evaluating programs beyond simply their rankings. You’ll leave the session with greater clarity about whether to pursue a Master’s, what type of program to pursue, where to look, how ready you are, and what to do next. Whether you’re just beginning to explore graduate school or already have a list of programs and need a second opinion, we can tailor the conversation to where you are right now.
What's included
My approach is conversational, practical, and direct. I listen first to understand where you are, what you’re considering, and what you ultimately want from your career. From there, I draw on my own experience across architecture, design, technology, and graduate education to help you evaluate your options, challenge assumptions, and see paths you may not have considered. I don’t believe there is one “right” Master’s or one formula for a successful career — our conversation is focused on finding the direction that makes the most sense for you. You don’t need to prepare anything beforehand. Just show up, and we’ll figure it out together.
- A clear recommendation on which Master’s degree and program types best align with your career goals
- A personalized shortlist of universities and programs to explore based on your profile, interests, and ambitions
- An assessment of your application readiness, including strengths, gaps, and what to improve before applying
- A clear next-step plan — whether to apply now, gain experience, strengthen your portfolio, or explore another path

Harvard GSD Alum | Architecture & Design Masters Applications
I'm an architect turned entrepreneur, a Harvard Graduate School of Design alum, and a venture-backed founder who believes a background in architecture and design can open doors far beyond traditional practice. My journey has taken me from studying architecture in India and Italy to earning an M.Arch II from the University of Michigan and a Master in Design Studies from Harvard GSD, and eventually building technology companies in the United States. I co-founded ArchSlate, a venture-backed startup that raised $1 million, grew to over 100,000 users, and served 500+ architecture firms. I later founded Zenoya, a technology platform built to help architecture and design firms run their businesses more effectively. Along the way, I've experienced the challenges of choosing the right graduate program, building a competitive portfolio, changing career directions, starting a company, finding customers, and raising venture capital. I've learned what works, what doesn't, and how much the right guidance can change someone's trajectory. Today, I help three groups of people: ➜ Aspiring & Early-Stage Founders: Turn ideas into businesses. From validating your startup idea and building your first product to finding customers, developing your go-to-market strategy, and preparing to raise capital. ➜ Architecture & Design Students: Navigate master's admissions with clarity and confidence. I help students choose the right universities and programs, strengthen their portfolios, develop compelling applications, and prepare for graduate study in the United States. ➜ Architecture & Design Professionals: Figure out what's next. Whether you're feeling stuck, considering a career change, exploring opportunities in technology, thinking about starting your own practice, or questioning whether further education is worth it, I help you evaluate your options and build a practical path forward. My coaching is direct, personalized, and grounded in real experience. I don't believe in generic advice or one-size-fits-all roadmaps. Whether you're choosing your next degree, rethinking your career, or building your first company, my goal is simple: help you make better decisions, avoid expensive mistakes, and move forward with clarity and confidence.
